The RK900 had settled down at the desk in front of Gavin. The human was somewhat relieved. That way he wouldn't have to look at the androids face the whole shift long; only when they'd investigate a crime scene together or he'd go grab a coffee.

Speaking of which: Gavin hadn't had a coffee yet. He had been too preoccupied by figuring out the best approach to instill fear or at least respect into the RK900. And later found himself too stunned to even speak to it.

But his tired eyes and brain screamed for some caffeine. Now.
Gavin cleared his thoat, trying to push aside all nervousness he was harboring. "Aye, tincan." he exclaimed. Connor turned his head towards him. "Not you." he shushed annoyed. "I'm talking to your Update."

The RK900 didn't seem to hear him, or at the very least didn't care enough to react. Gavin sighed, stood up and walked around his desk to face the new machine.
Gavin slammed his hands down at it's table. "React when I'm talking to you shithead." he hissed. The android seemed to be surprised and somewhat amused.

"How can I help you?" it asked, smiling friendly. Gavin felt like a weight was taken off his shoulders. The RK900 might have looked more intimidating than his predecessor at the first clance, but it seemed to have the same 'good guy' protocol installed as Connor.

"Go make me a coffee." he demanded. Expecting the android to do as it was told. But instead, it turned its head back to it's screen, scanning the files on it's desktop one by one.

Gavin was irritated and confused. It must've heard him. Was it too dumb for such a simple command? Or did it dare to ignore him? "Now." he pressed, in case the robot didn't pick up on the urgency of the task.
Without looking back at Reed it replied "Your legs don't seem to be impaired. Do you perhaps require medical attention, if you can't make it towards the kitchen?"

Gavin was left dumb founded. The phcking android was mocking him! He was searching for a snappy come back in his mind, but came up blank.

After a few seconds of silently staring, he decided it would be more embarrassing to keep standing there without a reply. Reluctantly, he headed towards the kitchen to make the damn coffee himself.
Angrily he muttered "Phcking garbage can."

"Detective." it called after Gavin, still turned towards its screen. "Bring me some thirium while you're at it." Gavin didn't face towards the RK900 anymore, but he could practically hear the smug look on its face.

He was sure the whole office had just witnessed their interaction. And he sure as hell would NOT bring that piece of plastic anything.
It was supposed to bring him stuff afterall, not the other way around.

And it would deeply hurt his pride to comply with the android, after he himself had made such a big deal out of the coffee.

He let out some dissatisfied grumble noises as he prepared his coffee in the kitchen. Thinking hard about what to say upon his return.
Should he just empty his coffee over the android?

Too risky. That would probably just end up with Fowler scolding him again. Additionally, he didn't want to wait for another cup to finish, as he desperately needed the caffeine in his veins to stay awake. The sooner, the better.

As he returned to the office area with his hot steaming cup in his hand, he had decided it was best to just sit back down at his desk without saying anything.
He would have another shot at intimidating the android later.

Gavin noticed the RK900 staring at him. Even when he sat down at his desk, he could somehow feel the stare through his screen.
Soon enough the RK900 stood up in a swift motion and circled around the desk, just like Gavin did before.
