In the quiet echoes of my unspoken pain,
I cling to shadows, in the darkness, I remain.
Sleeping beside loneliness, my only choice,
Yet within, I still yearn for a truer voice.Hand of a new face, I tightly held,
Yet, feeling of loneliness, I left unsaid.
For the fear of being alone, so I cling,
Even when she can't be compared a thing.
Is it easier to fill the void with another's face?
Even if understanding cannot find its place. In the quiet of the night, I hold on tight,
With an aching heart, not ready to take flight.
Unhealed wounds, under my smiling face,
Choosing a love that could only be found within— Yet, I continue to yearn for someone to embrace.;pJ.
