Clara's POV
I actually made it through the week in one piece and today was my first day at the university.
I moved into my dorm yesterday and got to explore the campus. My roommate, Rylie, is completely different from me but seems nice. It's her first year here too.
My first class starts at 9:00 so I got up early to have enough time to grab breakfast. I started my way to the dining hall that was a short walk away from my dorm.
Once I got inside I saw the breakfast display and grabbed a few things and found a table to sit at by the window. I ate my breakfast and people watched until 8:30. Every girl here was fairly attractive and the guys were too.
I made eye contact with a guy who was ginger, not normally my type but he was really good looking.
He walked over to me and grabbed the chair,
"May I?" He smiled.
"Sure." I replied and he sat.
"Hi I'm Levi."
He reached his hand out to shake mine. I accepted his hand and introduced myself,
"Clara"
"Nice to meet you Clara. I haven't seen you around here, is it your first year?" He asked and scooted closer.
"Yeah, it is actually. What about you?" I wanted to know more about him.
"It's my second year here." He answered.
"What are you studying?" I asked.
"I'm a history major. Mainly ancient history. What about you?" He grinned.
"I'm study biology." I smiled back at him.
"Cool cool."
"So where's your first class?" I asked him after a bit of awkward silence.
"Building A. You?" He took a bite into an apple he had with him.
"Building C." I looked at the paper map I had.
"Maybe I could walk with you to class?" He offered, taking another bite.
"Sure." I was glad he could help me get there.
"Alright, do you wanna go now? Your class starts in 15." Levi stood up and grabbed his bag.
"Yeah, we probably should then." I repeated his action of collecting my stuff.
I got up and exited the dining hall with this new stranger. We talked more about each other on the way there. I found out he has a sister and his parents live in Colorado. He likes to ski and mountain climb.
Once we got to my building I got his number and we waved goodbye. It was nice meeting someone helpfully on this stressful day.
I entered the lecture hall and was surprisingly one of the only people in there. I sat for a few minutes and a girl came in. I knew I saw her before. It was Emily, the girl Callahan was with at the bar and has been seeing for a few weeks now.
What are the chances she's here.
Emily sat on the opposite side of the row I was in and made a quick glance my way.
The lecture started and my professor was a younger guy who seemed pretty nice.
The class was pretty boring so it felt like it dragged on forever.
We got let out around 10:15.
Emily stayed back and was on her phone, texting someone. I decided to stay back too if there was a chance... that maybe... he would show up.
We made eye contact and she darted out of the room so I gathered my stuff to leave.
As I walked out I noticed her talking to someone and I glanced over to see Callahan.
I could feel my heart sink into my stomach. I walked away quickly so he wouldn't see me but that didn't work.
I stood at the street crossing waiting for a bus to pass when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I flinched and turned to see Callahan.
"Can we please talk, Clara?" He whispered.
"Go away, Callahan." I groaned and turned away.
"Please, Clara, I need to talk to you right now." He begged and started following me.
"Callahan-" My voice broke off.
"Please just listen... I... I still love you, Clara." His breath caught from how much he just got off his chest.
I stopped in my tracks. I couldn't even turn around to face him. I would start bawling.
Before I could react, he grabbed my waist to turn me around and pulled me into an extremely passionate kiss.
God, did I miss these lips.
"Callahan! Where are you?" Emily yelled from a few feet away.
His lips slowly slipped away from mine as he drug out my bottom lip, leaving me speechless.
I stood there in shock as he ran back to his "girlfriend". Giving me one last glance as they crossed the street parallel to where I was.
I could tell he didn't love her. He seemed cold towards her, and maybe she was just trying to get a good fuck out of it. That's all she's going to get.
Levi then approached me,
"Hey Clara... woah, are you okay?" His eyes widened when he saw my face.
"Um- Yeah." I said wiping my eyes quickly and formed a fake smile.
"Well, do you wanna go to party later tonight? A lot of people will be there you can make more friends." He stated matter of factly. I appreciated that he thought about me.
"Uh, sure, what time and where at?" I asked.
"I'll send you the info tonight." He started to walk towards the building for his next class.
"Okay, great sounds good. Thanks Levi."
I walked away briskly back to my dorm. I didn't have another class until 1:30 and it was currently 10:45.
I collapsed on my bed when I got back into my dorm. Rylie was laying on her bed,
"What's wrong with you?" She mumbled.
"My ex just kissed me even though we haven't talked in like 4 months. It was so good." I sighed.
"Oh wow. That's crazy hot." She giggled.
"I know." I closed my eyes.
We sat in silence until my next class. I grabbed my things and made my way to my next class. It went pretty quick and was over before I knew it.
It was 3:30 so I decided to get a late lunch, early dinner. I stopped at a cafe that was in campus and got a sandwich with a coffee.
I walked back to my dorm and sat at my desk while I ate. I waited until Levi sent me the information at 7:00. The house was just a few blocks away and the party started at 8:00. I got dressed and did my makeup.
I put on a small blank cropped tank top and jean shorts with my new frat shoes that were white converse.
I waited until 8:00 to start walking to this frat house. I wasn't expecting to stay very long.
