In the land of Bharat, ages ago
Lived two great Yugas, we all know
Treta and Dwapara, their names so grand
But what happened in between, let me commandTreta, the second age, came after Satya Yuga
The world was still pure, but with a little struggle
Lord Rama, the avatar of Vishnu, was born
To rid the world of evil, and bring peace in returnThe mighty Ravana, with his ten heads
Challenged the Lord, in his ego he led
But Rama, with his arrows and bow
Defeated the demon king, and let righteousness glowThe Ramayana, a tale so divine
Teaches us values, that forever will shine
But as Treta Yuga came to an end
Dwapara Yuga, its successor, did descendWith it came the avatar of Krishna
The eighth incarnation of Vishnu, so pure
The world was changing, and so were the ways
But Krishna's teachings, forever will stayHe played the flute, and danced with gopis
But his love for Radha, was pure and holy
He preached the Bhagavad Gita, to Arjuna in war
And taught us the importance of Dharma, forever moreBut as Dwapara Yuga neared its end
The world was changing, and so was mankind
The Kali Yuga, the last and darkest age
Was approaching, and with it came the rageBut let us not forget, the lessons we learned
In Treta and Dwapara Yug, our hearts yearned
For a world of peace, and a life of love
Let us hold on to these values, from the heavens above.
