Jan's murmured suggestion rang in my ears. My eyes stung with new tears.

"Is that what you want, baby?" Alex asked, a twinge of concern lifting his voice.

"Use your words," Jan reminded me.

I stuttered to find the words, and when I did, they came rushing out all at once. "I never imagined having a pack, and here you are, showing up for me when I go full omega."

"Oh, I do love it when you go full omega," Phoenix sighed.

I blinked. "Y-You're home to me, I... I want us to be mates, I want us to be a pack for the rest of our lives."

"Couldn't have said it better myself," Alex said approvingly.

Jan nudged me into his side and pressed a long kiss to the top of my head. "I said it before," Jan said, his voice velvety smooth. "I'm yours, Wren."

Phoenix clutched my hands, drawing my attention. "Little omega," he said, with surprise in his voice. "I don't want you dead like I want everyone else dead. I want you alive, forever, mine."

I leaned out of Jan's embrace to press the ghost of a bite against Phoenix's throat. He shivered beneath me. "Mine," I said.

"And me too?" said Alex.

I turned to him, wrapping my hand around the back of his head. Then I kissed him in the forceful way I loved to kiss him, and he let out a low rumbling purr. "You too, Alex," I murmured, kissing him again.

There was shuffling at our backs, and I realized we'd been kissing for a long time when Jan said, "We're going to go make dinner. Take your time, and come down when you feel like you can manage it."

Alex captured my lips in his, pushing so far into me that I tumbled backward, laughing against his lips as he caged me in with his arms. My breath caught in my throat, and when I turned my head out of the kiss, Alex began kissing a string over my jaw and down my throat to Phoenix's aching bite mark.

"Is this real?" I sighed.

Alex laughed, a rough sound that bobbed his breath. "You're always asking me if this is real," Alex said. "Am I really something you dream of? I've fucked up so much, baby."

"You haven't done anything wrong."

Alex shook his head and frowned in a pout that drooped his perfect lips. "I rejected you at first. I gave you mixed signals. I interrupted you and Phoenix, twice, like an asshole. I'm the reason Jack had a chance to kidnap you. I hurt you, baby."

"You didn't –"

He kissed me to quiet me. "I never want to hurt you again," he promised. "I didn't know then, didn't realize you're my fated mate and you've been under my nose this whole time."

I scoffed. "Don't tell me you believe in that nonsense too."

"It's not nonsense," he said, kissing me again. "Didn't my cologne smell perfect the first time you scented me? We haven't been apart since."

"Alex," I said, petting over his hair as he kissed another line up the center of my neck. "Alex, honey, you need to stop listening to Phoenix."

"Why? You listen to him. You can't keep your eyes off him."

Our mouths mixed in a mingle of wet tongue and cheek and lips. He licked into my mouth, tasted me, and groaned. Fully hard now, he bucked his hips against mine.

"Wanna know a secret?" Alex whispered against my ear, and I shivered. "I think he's your favorite."

"I don't –"
