I once was convinced
That I could shine like a star,
But then comes the thought
of letting my world go dark.
I'm still stuck in finding out,
If fears were my mirrors
Or the other way around?
Cause whenever I tried to break 'em,
They just multiplied.
I don't know how many of my frights,
Till now I've justified.
But it's all clear through the windows
Of my memory,
Where a little girl is whom I see.
She trailed off from me like
Some unwanted vines.
Now her bits wander through my dreams,
Like a soul lost in time.

And through the years,
I realised that it's more destructive,
Some toxicity delivered politely.
And yeah sometimes it's hard to focus
When you feel insecure about
Every cell in your body.
Sometimes you need those demons,
In your head to survive the real world,
I'm still tryna figure out what it is,
Whereas they planned for their future,
A couple of years in advance,
While every night I lived to the extent
As if it was the only one left.
But it's all clear through the windows
Of my memory,
Where a little girl is whom I see.
'she might be me'
She trailed off from me like
Some unwanted vines.
Now her bits wander through my dreams,
Like a soul lost in time.
