Amid the timeless dance of past and future, we find ourselves in the mirror of introspection. I invite you to this journey through the corridors of time by this poem that introduces you to a world where the past and future converge. 'My future self' was originally an idea suggested by my friend, a scenario that 'what would our reaction be if by any means our future self succeeded in paying us a visit!?' This is my answer.

Once upon a time,
The clock went still.
A chill down my spine,
When I saw a silhouette.
I promise I am not crazy,
I promise I am not mad.
But I promise that I saw me,
Holding the bear i once had.
She gave me my kindergarten's best friend,
She arrived from a book where the time
had bent.
She came to me when I was alone
And told me it is alright,
She said
The world is not ideal,
It is a mess.
But we sorted it through,
Before the end of the test.
Darling I know it,
because I've been through it,
When your ups and downs,
Corresponded to your heart beat,
'Cause I know the real you,
Hiding in that heart of deceit.

So yeah, she was my future self,
Like my life wasn't already a mess,
But she seemed kinda nice,
And much prettier than I am.
I started to think
'would I look like that when I grow up'
But she started staring
As an intentional interrupt.
'Is it just a dream' I asked her aloud
And she said a little escape from
reality is always allowed.
Even if it is a dream i really needed it.
Could no longer be alone
or friends made of shit.
She came to me with a smile
And told me it is alright,
She said
The world is not ideal,
It is a mess.
But we sorted it through,
Before the end of the test.
Darling I know it,
because I've been through it,
When your ups and downs,
Corresponded to your heart beat,
'Cause I know the real you,
Hiding in that heart of deceit
I still remember
The fake friends that you had,
But you kept them close
'cause there was no backup plan
I still remember
The tears that you counted,
And I still remember
All the words, alone you shouted.
But the cuts you cried about all night,
Are now the scars
you look down with pride,
And it's quite funny, now that you see,
How a moment changed into a memory.
So raise your glasses and cheers
Cheers to life,
and to it's fucking outcome.
Cheers to all our past,
And cheers to what we might become.
Cheers to the game play,
Oh I wish I never had stayed.
So cheers to the life who's the hunter
And cheers to us who just run.

I know ,
you wished that you never grew up
'cause till now I wish that too.
But life's a maze ,
you'd die if you're not awake.
We just have to keep walking through.
