Chapter- 14: Good at Pretending!

Ishani walked into the room carrying two bottles of water and found that guy sitting next to Aisha's father. When he heard the door open, he turned towards Ishani, got up, and walked towards her.

He took one bottle from Ishani, drank water, and then offered the same bottle to Ishani..Ishani took the bottle and placed it on the table.

Ishani: I don't need..

"You don't need what? Me?" he laughed, he was so confident, and so cocky, he looked like he had never lost a single conversation to a woman in his life.

Ishani :(rolled her eyes) If you think that your cheap lines can make me fall for you, you're wrong..samjhe? Ya (She said, by that gesture (pointing at her shoe), that she is going to beat him up)
samjhao?

Understand or should I explain?

"He laughed... Oh, indirect threat. I understand. Baby , you have only heard a few of my lines. Keep your ears and your heart open for my voice because you never know when it will reach you. He chuckled."

Ishani: But I have no interest in hearing any more of your cheap lines. Please stop wasting my time and...

Before Ishani could finish her sentence, a woman called out her name. When she turned around, she saw Advait's parents standing behind her.

Ishani: Arey aunty, uncle ap log.. yaha?

"Oh, Aunty, Uncle... what are you doing here?"

Ragini (Advait's mother) : Advait ka call aya tha.. Usne bola Sharma jii ko aj discharge kr rhe?

"Advait called and said they are discharging Sharma Jii today, isn't that right?"

Ishani: jii Aunty hum bas Aisha ki wait kr rhe hai.. sab ready hai..ushki aate hi..

"Aunty, yes, we're just waiting for Aisha. Everything is ready, just waiting for her to arrive."

Ragini: Beta Aisha....Advait ke saath hi hai.. meri baat Advait se hui thi thori der pehle undono ko kuch important baat batani hai..so sharma jii ko leke hum ghar chlte hai..dono bhi wahi milenge hume.. Chle?

"Daughter, yes, Aisha is with Advait. I talked to him just a little while ago and they both have something important to talk to us about. Let's go home, he and Aisha will meet us there."

Then Raagini saw the boy who had been standing with Ishani and she was shocked and also happy at the same time.

Raagini: Whaat a pleasant surprise.. NIKHIL!!! kab ayee India?

Nikhil first bowed his head down..touch her feet and took the blessings.

(Seeing this Ishani got shocked and bit confused that the guy she was fighting earlier was relative of Advait's family)

[Ishani (in her mind) :waah direct flirt se saanskari..]

Nikhil: Bas Aunty.. Aplogo ka yaad aya or chle aya.

"That's it Aunty, your blessings came to mind and I came."

Raagini: It's been eight years since we last met in New York. Nothing has changed, you are exactly the same, Desi munda..

Nikhil: Apke bideshi munda kaha hai? Bas phone pe hi baat hua usse..ab toh phone bhi nhi utha raha.

"Your foreigner son, where is he? I only talked to him on the telephone and now he's not even picking up the phone."
