"Today I'm about to begin a new chapter in my life, entering a new world. A new house, new people... I don't know how I'll manage without Baba. "Aisha took a deep sigh and look out of the car window.

Upon arriving at Advait's grand mansion, The car pulled up gracefully at the gate. The family welcomed her with grand gestures and warm smiles, but amidst the beautiful welcome , Advait seemed noticeably irritated.

"Why did you have to invite all these people?" Advait grumbled under his breath looking at his mother. The crowds of people greeting them were overwhelming, and all he wanted to do was disappear.

"Please, can we just go to my room?" Advait asked, his annoyance growing by the second. The constant stream of greetings and compliments was giving him a headache. All he wanted was to finally be alone with Aisha.

"Areyyy bro, there are other rituals too, man. You are jumping straight to the wedding ni....(he clear his throat) I mean, there are other rituals before that one." Nikhil chuckled holding Advait's shoulder.

Advait glared at Nikhil, "I am well aware that there are other rituals, Nikhil. I am just saying I want to be done with all of them. They are tiring and unneeded."

"Advi, beta araam krne ke liye bohot time mil jayega, don't worry "Advait's mother chuckled and came to the door with a puja thali (plate) where Aisha and Advait were standing. She cast a protective gaze over both of them, warding off the evil eye, and created a barrier with rice grains. Then she told Aisha to come inside the house. Aisha gently touched the rice grains with her feet and entered the house.

Aisha's facade of happiness began to crack, revealing the turmoil within. She had been forced into this marriage by Advait, who had convinced their families that it was a love match. But the truth was far from it. Aisha's heart was heavy with resentment, her mind racing with thoughts of escaping.

As the family celebrated, Aisha's smile felt like a mask, suffocating her. She couldn't bear the thought of spending the rest of her life with a man who had forced her into this union. She felt trapped, her dreams and aspirations crushed into pieces.

Aisha was lost in thought when Advait's father's voice interrupted, announcing the start of the ring-finding ceremony. Ishani and Advait's mother then seated Aisha and Advait facing each other.

Aisha's eyes met Advait's, and for a moment, their gazes locked . Aisha's eyes flashed with anger and hurt, while Advait turning his gaze sideway and start chitchatting with Nikhil.

Then Ishani came with a bowl containing milk decorated with rose petals and placed it between them. Next, Advait's mother put the ring into the bowl and asked Advait and Aisha to find it. Advait was already very irritated and annoyed, but for his mother's happiness, he reluctantly extended his hand and started searching for the ring. Aisha, too, unwillingly extended her hand and started searching for the ring.
