MI vs CSK, 2O13
Mahi was elated, their next match was with Mumbai Indians which meant that he could get to meet his beloved kid, Rohit. Since the team would be reaching the hotel in the morning, an unusually active Mahi could be seen in the lobby at an unusually early hour.
Michael asked Jadeja, "What's up with skip today morning?"
An equally beaming Jadeja replied, "Bhai ke Karan Arjun mein se aaj Karan jo aa raha hai."
Michael who obviously understood nothing asked, "What are you saying Jaddu?"
Imitating his accent quite decently, Jaddu replied, "Kuch kuch hota hai Michael, tum nahi samjohge."
Seeing Michael more confused than before, Jaddu laughed. He put his arm around him and said, "Come on, I will tell you."
Mahi and Rohit's bond was extremely different, yet extremely special. Everyone knew that Rohit was Mahi's first kid, but only the two knew the actual depths of their bond. Rohit and Mahi were similar in nature, hence they understood the other's silence far better than words. Mahi was Rohit's hero, the one who was never wrong, the one who was always strong and Rohit was Mahi's silent cheerleader, his eyes exhibiting that confidence and trust in him from which Mahi consciously or subconsciously, had always gathered assurance.

As the bus reached was almost reaching the hotel, Rohit looked at the head resting on his shoulder.
He smiled and fondly ruffled the black hair.
Rohit adored Jassi, he was the sweetest and the most polite kid he had ever come across. For the first few days when Jassi had joined MI, he could not speak to anyone for two minutes straight without stammering and looking at them in the eye.
But the case had been entirely different with Rohit. Jassi, who had thought the captain is going to be scarier than the rest of team had decided to not talk with him unless asked.
Even Rohit had left him alone, knowing that he would come around at his own pace. But Rohit made it a point to have a small chat with Jassi every night, even though he received broken, scared answers. Rohit liked the well mannered boy and knew that someday he would get to talk to a confident Jassi.
He was not wrong. Jassi had begun to feel comfortable in Rohit's presence. He never felt that Rohit was a strict captain, he was encouraging and kind, maybe especially attentive when it came to him. No sooner had he realized that Rohit had formed a special place in his heart. A place which he would never give anyone in the future.
From there onwards, Jasprit became his dear Jassi and Rohit became his most favourite Rohit bhaiya.
One day after a practice session where Jassi had bowled a superb ball, Rohit had walked up to him and said, "You are a terrific bowler Jas. I am proud of you" and ruffled his hair.
A shining pair of eyes looked up at him and asked, "Really Rohit bhaiya?"
Rohit's heart warmed every time Jassi called him bhaiya.
He had smiled and pulled the boy into his arms, "Of course kiddo. I am super proud of you and I always will be."
Jassi looked confused, "How do you know?"
Rohit smiled as Mahi bhai's words replayed in his head and he said, "Big brothers always know Jas."
Big brothers always know Ro.
Jassi asked hesitantly, "Can I tell you something Rohit bhaiya?"
Rohit asked concerned, "Yes Jassi, did something happen?" He looked around immediately to check if something or someone who could have hurt Jassi.
