A unrequired sequel to the previous one shot. Happy Reading💗
An extremely annoyed Jasprit Bumrah was at Rohit bhaiya's door, surprisingly early for any ICT member to be awake, the morning after a triumphant win. But here he was at Rohit's door, with an uncharacteristic frown settled on his face. He was cross, vexed, frustrated and what not, the reason being Rohit's heartfelt post, from the previous night's party.
Not like he minded them bring around Rohit, he really didn't, or maybe he did a little but didn't show it, because the ever sensible Jasprit Bumrah would never be considered as someone who would be jealous. He had valiantly tried telling the left over part of his brain that these boys had their own special places in Rohit's heart and that they did not intend to replace Jassi, but the remaining rationality soon dissipated when he read a particular comment on Rohit's post.
Rohit Sharma's new fighters!
The word 'new' was stubbornly stuck in Jassi's head.
Does 'new' mean that the old are going to be replaced?
Does 'new' mean that the old are going to be replaced, in Rohit's life?
Does that, by any chance, mean that he was going to be replaced, in Rohit's life?
Jassi knew it was never possible, that him and Rohit shared a bond which was simply close to Rohit's heart. Till date, he never had an opportunity to feel this, stupidly growing jealousy, which he was feeling at that moment.
For it was a silent yet a fully known fact, that Jassi was Rohit's first kid. Rohit became a fiercely protective elder brother, only when it came to him and whenever that idiot Harry, had declared that Rohit loved him the most, his beloved Rohit bhaiya, had passed him a knowing smile and Jassi needed nothing more.
Rohit bhaiya loved chocolate cakes to death, yet he kept a slice aside for Jassi each time after a party, ever since he got to know how much Jassi loved chocolate cakes too. Rohit bhaiya never posted their pictures together on Instagram but Jassi noticed immediately, that any match he performed well, it would be his solo picture put first by Rohit bhaiya, amongst the other pictures and if he didn't, it would be his and Rohit's picture, standing out to him, in the middle of many others.
It became a pattern, and each time after a match, Jassi found himself waiting for that Instagram notification, which made him stupidly excited for no reason in particular.
But this time when it had arrived, it was not what he had desired for.
When Kuldeep and him had met Rohit returning from their little party, he had childishly looked away from Rohit's eyes, even when Kuldeep was complaining to him. Rohit, knowing his kid best, had his hand on Jassi's shoulder throughout the conversation, knowing, God knows how, the exact way to comfort him. And when Rohit had promised the two, an entire day together, Jassi had decided, that he will go early and wake them all up, to get a few hours alone with Rohit bhaiya and also maybe to shoo all the uninvited guests away.
Without further delay to the impending task, Jassi slowly opened the door to Rohit's room. To his utmost surprise, which was almost close to a mini heart attack, he found the main occupant of the room already awake, standing in the balcony, listening to music and sipping his morning coffee.
Jassi was stunned and even that was an understatement. He had almost picked up his phone to call Ritika bhabhi and ensure if everything was alright with Rohit bhaiya but he decided that it would be lesser panic going around, if he asked the concerned man directly. With slow steps, he approached Rohit and put a hand on his shoulder. Rohit turned around and spotted a confused Jassi.
