Eros

Chapter 5

The next morning Novel woke up to a heavy weight weighing her down. She rub the sleep from her eyes and it took her a while to remember all that happened and then Eros enter the picture.

Novel tried to remove his arm but it only tighten around her.

"Don't move,"he grumbled.

"Are you kidding me? Let me go."

"You're comfortable."

This man never fail to shock her.

She did the only thing she could think of.

Slap him.

Hard.

Only it didn't help much. He still refused to release her.

She slump in defeat.

"Eros we need you out here!"

Eros get up and Novel sigh in relief.

This man is so difficult!

She get off the bed and walk outside. The warm sun on her skin immediately make her feel better.

"You're alive!" Ela jump on her, squeezing the life out of her.

"Well if you keep squeezing me I'm going to die."

"Sorry."

"What's going on?"

"Eros was called to handle some men who like going at each others throat. They are scared of him so it's only natural they call him."

Novel follow Ela to where a crowd was gathered. They push through and Novel gasp as she saw Eros beating the life out of a guy as big as him. He was angry and from the veins bulging in his neck he was close to killing the poor guy.

"Is he going to kill him? We have to stop him."

"That's suicidal. My brother is a beast when it come to fight."

With a finally punch the man was knocked out. Eros shake off his hand and turn to walk away.

The guy lay the dirt dirty and covered in blood. A few bones is probably broken.

Novel walk to him and kneel.

She feel his ribs and cheek bone but they seem to be in one piece which is good.

"Come on. The healer will look after him."

"What did he do?"

"He harass a female."

"Oh."

Then maybe he deserve the beating.

"Where did Eros go?"

"His house."

"I'll be right back."

Novel head towards the house that minutes ago she want to get out of.

She push the door open and saw him washing the blood from his hands. His knuckles were busted and bleeding a little.

"Are you OK?"she asked.

"What are you doing here?"

"Just checking to see if you're OK."

"I'm fine."

She walk to him as he tried to bandage his hand.

"Let me do it."

He look at her and was confused. Minutes ago she was upset with him and now she was helping him.

He kept staring at her as she wrap his hands.

Women confused him. He stay away from them for a reason and then she came along and he want her. He couldn't help himself the night before.

He hope she won't hate him. Though he did force her to sleep in the same bed with him.

He was no good at courting a woman.
