Novel step back as she finish wrapping his hand. She did a pretty good job so she was proud.
She look at him to see he was staring at her.
"What?"she asked.
"Nothing."
"I'm just going to go."
She practically ran from the house.
She take deep breath.
She felt something. But she will not think about it.
A hand wrap around her chest and she felt her face heat up.
No Novel you will not change your mind about him. Its only the second day!
"Thank you."
The hand disappeared and she turn to see him walking away with a crossbow on his back.
She watch as he disappeared in the trees.
"Hello you still in there?" She turn around to find Ela smiling at her. "Changing your mind about him?"
"No."
"If you say so."
"I mean it."
"OK."
Novel spend the day helping where she can. She has a few enemies but nothing she can't handle. She's sure she can beat their asses if they tried anything.
Soon the sun went down and dinner was ready. She sit with Ela as other people join. She wasn't hungry but a certain red hair man will force her to eat.
"Where am I sleeping tonight?"she asked Ela.
"Where do you think?" A teasing smile lit up Ela's face.
"Not again."
Ela laugh and stuff her face with meat.
"You can stay with me. I live alone so the company will be nice."
"Thanks."
After dinner she was tired.
"So tell me about where you came from."
"It's nothing like here. There are large skyscraper buildings and busy roads with cars."
"What's a skyscraper?"
"What's a car?"someone else asked.
Novel was taken a back. She didn't realized other persons were listening also.
"Skyscrapers are buildings so tall you can barely see the top. Cars are what we use to get from one place to another. It's made out of metal and has four wheels."
"That sounds so cool."
"It's is. There's also buses. They are like cars but much bigger and then there are trains that has run on metal tracks. They do not have wheels like cars and buses though. There are also trucks that carry things around for people to buy."
"What about the homes?"
"Most homes where I'm from are huge. Mine was so big you could get lost in it. There are also some call apartments. Its different housing that you can rent. I mean you exchange something to live there."
"So do you know how you get here?"
"Yeah. It was an accident. I build the machine that bring me here."
"You're smart!"Ela exclaimed.
"I wouldn't say that. But I thought it would work without a hitch but instead I got sucked in and I end up here."
"That's sad. Won't your parents be worried?"
"They will worry. My dad is a little over protective and my mom...well my mom is good to calm him down. But I hope they are OK. Hopefully I get to see them again sometime but for now I'll just enjoy here I guess."
"Well you have a family here,"a elderly woman said as she gesture to the others who nod eagerly.
"Thank you."
