CHAPTER 23

I looked for Ron, but he was nowhere to be found.

So, we asked at the reception about Luca, he was recently shifted from the ICU to the general ward.

We headed to the room.

We were just outside the room when Ron arrived.

"Why did you leave him alone?" I asked.

"He isn't alone, he is with his girlfriend" he replied.

"His girlfriend?" I raised a question.

He nodded and pointed to the girl sitting near him.

We got near her.

"Excuse me!" I said and she turned away.

It's Alice, Charm's friend.

She had her eyes filled with tears while holding his hand.

I was stunned to see her, and that too as Luca's girlfriend. I mean, seriously!?

"You are Charm's friend. Right?" I asked.

"Yes, and you are Yane." She had no surprise on her face. She asked again, "How do you know Luca?"

I guess Luca never told her about us, because he might not want her to get involved in this.

"We work together," I replied.

"Ohh, so you also work at Oberoi Assosiates?" she asked.

Luca must have told her about the business that Mr. Oberoi runs.

I nodded.

I moved to see Luca, he was taking a rest. So, we decided not to wake him up.

He has a knife and gunshots. It's disheartening to see him like this.

I glanced at Alice again, she was tightly holding Luca's hands, and mumbling prayers, her heart must've hurt so bad.

I don't want to tell her anything and break her more.

"Yane, please come with me" Ron called me.

I left Lara along with Luca and Alice and went with him.

He is walking ahead of me.

"Luca needs serious bed rest, he can't move right now. We have to carry things on our own." He mentioned.

"Yeah! We need to. Min-Jae had already taken flight to Russia and he planned to stop us from causing any trouble." I added.

"Listen," He took out his phone, "Inspector Louis contacted me, and sent me things that would amaze you." He handed me the phone, "Yane, you! You are the only person who can stop this man and take your revenge. Your biometrics have access to every office of theirs and their headquarters can only be operated by you."

I couldn't believe what I just heard.
