CHAPTER 42

Yane's POV

"You went through a hypnotherapy," Ethan explained as he played an audio recording.

"Make sure she forgets everything and everyone from her past which is unnecessary. Forget Lang and Ethan especially."

"But Dad, why are you doing this with her." Her voice was similar to Lara's voice.

"This was Lara." Ethan interrupted.

"This was your uncle's last wish. He wanted her daughter to live a better life. And, you too, please don't talk anything about them either."

"Okay dad!"

"Sir, should we begin the therapy process?" Another voice asked.

Ethan said, "Now, you know, everything about me, the safe locks, your bad memories and things were carefully erased from your memory Yane."

I was stunned. Hypnotherapy? Erased memories? Lara knew about this?

Why was I kept in the dark?

"And you know what's interesting?" He changed on screen and it was suddenly Luca, Ron and Charm and Alice on screen.

"I will make sure they are not alive until you get out of here. Your punishment for ruining my current business. And, if you try to be smart, you and your friends are next to dead."

Fear gripped me as I realized he had them at gunpoint.

I had to contact Lara and ask her to save them. She is the only one who seems safe.

I felt dizzy and went unconscious.

"Open her up!" Ethan ordered as I was going unconscious.

I was released and was lying on the floor.

He took all of his guard outside while my legs were still tied to the columns.

I activated my necklace and asked Lara to track all of them and go and save them.

I hope my message reaches her.

Lara's POV

It's so comfortable here, I will stay until they all arrive.

I wish Yane's date go well.

She seems real happy after a very long time.

That's when my phone started buzzing out of suddenly.

It wasn't a call.

I looked at the screen and it felt some sort of a live broadcasting.

This must be Yane's camera necklace.

There was a guy infront of her and huge screen.

And, on screen there was Mr. Lang, my dad and Lara's dad.

"Ethan..." Yane exclaimed.

"You are...Ethan...This can't be possible." Yane was stumbling.

Oh shit! How did he got the hand of her. How did he even come into picture?

Why is he showing all of this to Yane?

Wait! Is he telling her about the things me and dad kept a secret?

Ethan wasn't there for a long time, I thought he was sent to America, but he wasn't.

"Do you remember my father, Lara's and Yours dad were best friends?" Ethan said as he displayed the pictures.

Damn! This guy ruined our work.

And Yane, it will be hard for her to know about her therapy.

One by one, Ethan disclosed everything to her and I can feel through her voice the dilemma she is going through.

Wait what! Charm, Alice, Luca and Ron are in danger?

"Lara, please make sure they are safe and take all of them to safe house. Use my apartment to go there. You know about it. Stay there until I get back. I will get back safe I promise." She said while I thought she went unconscious.

I knew what I had to do. Yane was counting on me, and I would do everything in my power to save our friends and bring her back safely.
