Sheltered- Bellamy Blake

Part Six

Bellamy's Pov:

It's been a few days since I dumped her pills. She was so mad at me– I swear she would kill someone for them. I have no idea how to help her, I feel so lost without her. She was so good, how could I let this happen?

"Hey man, sorry about you and your girl." One of the other janitors says to me.

"What?" I ask him. How did he know about our fight?

"I thought you guys broke up. Saw her sneaking out of that guy Marcel's room yesterday." What the fuck? Why would she be in Marcel's room- Oh my god. He ran the dispensary. Would she really cheat on me just to get more drugs?

"I need to go." I said, and my vision went dark. I couldn't comprehend what I had heard. I never thought she would do that. I was on my way to our quarters when Lieutenant Shumway, one of the men responsible for my mothers death and Octavia's imprisonment stops me.

"Cadet Blake."

"It's Janitor Blake now, Lieutenant." I say with a scoff.

"Commander." He says, pointing to himself. "A lot has changed in the past few years."

"You've got a lot of nerve talking to me after pushing the button that floated my mother."

"I was following orders." He doesn't look the least but sorry.

"What the hell do you want from me?"

"You were a hell of a guardsman Bellamy, you know that? Smart, hardworking, resourceful-"

"I wasn't a guardsman. That's what you said at the ball, I remember."

"You also said you'd do anything to protect your sister. I remember, too. I hope that's still true." What is he talking about?

"Is she okay?" I ask, my breath hitching in my throat.

"What I'm about to tell you is classified." He cleared his throat. "Chancellor Jaha has approved a mission to earth. He's sending the juvenile prisoners to the ground. One hundred of them, your sister included."

"No, no. You can't. It's not safe, you have to stop them."

"I wish I could. What I can do, is get you a seat on that dropship." He analyzes my expression before continuing, "you're right. It's doubtful those kids will survive, but if you're there, at least Octavia won't be alone."

"What do I have to do?" He pulls out a gun, and tells me;

"Kill the Chancellor."

"How about I kill you instead?" I point the gun at his forehead, and am so tempted to pull the trigger.

"Kill me, and your sister goes to a radiation-soaked planet alone and you'll get floated just like your mother. Ship launches in an hour, Bellamy. So if you're going to do this, we have to leave. Right now."

What the hell am I supposed to do? I can't let Octavia go alone, but what about Ellie? Although, I don't think she'd mind too much. Shumway started to walk back down the hallway before he stopped and turned around.

"Are you coming?" Instead of responding, I walked by him and turned the corner.

Ellie's POV:

I was napping. Even though I haven't even gone to work today, I was so tired. I rolled my eyes when I heard knocking on the door– Abby.

"Go away!" I yell, before the door opens. Abby walks in with two guards.

"I'm sorry it came to this, Ellie. I tried helping you, but I'm afraid no one can." I furrowed my brows at her standing up.

"What are you talking about?" She nodded her head at the guard on the left, who then pulled out his baton and shoved it into my side.

I fell to the floor, seizing. The two guards took turns doing this another three times, before I was about to pass out.

"Say Hi to Clark for me." Abby whispered, as a guard picked me up, bridal style. I was carried through hallways I'd never seen before, till I was strapped into a chair, forcing me to sit upright.

"What the hell, Abby?" I say, though my words come out slightly jumbled together.

"We are sending the juvenile prisoners to the ground. Be a leader, Ellie. Those kids will need someone to look up to." She said as her and the guards left my vision, and I let the black consume me.

Woah! Okay, now the plot of the show begins! Is someone cutting onions? These chapters were so drainging to write, and I hate that Ellie went through all that. Stick with me!!!
