Book 1: The Story of Moe Uzumaki

Chapter 29

Naruto's POV

My eyes widened at the news. Moe? Apart of the Akatsuki? Why... why won't she come back to us? I clenched my fist, "Team Kakashi's new mission will be to rescue the Kazekage." Granny said. Sakura-chan and I ran off with Kakashi-sensei towards Suna. I couldn't get over the fact that Moe left the village and is apart of the Akatsuki. Maybe she isn't with them intentionally, there's still hope for her. I will save her. I was snapped back into reality when Sakura-chan jumped down next to Temari, "Temari! Wait!" she yelled. We walked up to her, "What is it?" she asked. I walked up to her, "Gaara was kidnapped." I said softly. Her eyes widened, "N-no way. Let's go!" she yelled and ran off. We followed her to Suna and Sakura-chan healed Kankuro. He looked over at me, "You're sister, she's extremely strong even if she barely fought. Be careful." he informed me weakly. I nodded and walked outside the room, "Why Moe?" I asked myself with tears forming in my eyes. I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw the old lady who attacked Kakashi-sensei, "I'm sorry about your sister." she told me. I just nodded and followed Kakashi-sensei outside of Suna, "Pakkun has one of the members scent, we'll follow it. Let's go." he said and started running off. 

We were almost to the base of the Akatsuki went Itachi Uchiha stepped in our way. I glared, "Move! I have to save Gaara and Moe!" I yelled. He chuckled, "You think you can save Moe? Gaara is already dead." he said to me. I growled and made a rasengan in my hand, "Shut up!" I yelled and tried to hit him. He disappeared into a bunch of crows and reformed in mid-air, "You're already in my genjutsu." he said. I cursed and lashed at the crows flying around me, "Why are you so bent on bringing Moe back after she left on her on will?" he asked. I glared at him, "Because she's my sister! I love her! Of course I will try and bring her back to Konoha with all my power." I told him. He smirked, "What about Sasuke? You couldn't bring him back? How do you expect to bring Moe back if you can't bring my foolish brother back?" he asked me. I growled, "Unlike you, I actually think of Sasuke as a brother, more than you ever did." I replied harshly. He smiled softly and a crow jumped into my mouth, crawling down my throat, "What the hell?" I coughed. "I have shared some of my power with you, but I hope you don't have to use it." he told me and left. 

"Naruto are you okay?" Sakura-chan asked me. I looked around, "Where's Itachi?" I asked. They looked at me confused, "What do you mean?" Kakashi-sensei asked. I looked around again and looked down, "Nevermind, let's go." I said and jumped away.

Moe's POV

Itachi and Kisame's pictures came up again, "We managed to slow them down." Kisame said. Itach looked at me weirdly and I gave him a confused look, "What?" I asked. He sighed, "Naruto is one of the back up ninjas." he said. I stiffened slightly, slightly. I shrugged, "So what? He's an enemy." I said and stood up. Dad opened his eyes, "Alright, that's all of it. Moe, Deidara, Sasori deal with our visitors." he said and dispursed. Everyone else started to leave until it was the three of us left. I stood with my hood over my head so you couldn't see my face. I pulled my mask down so it was hanging around my neck loosely, "It's going to take a while." Sasori said. I nodded, "We didn't put the easiest seals out there for a reason." I muttered. Deidara sat ontop of Gaara making me glare at him internally. A few minutes later the boulder crashed and Team Kakashi followed by an old lady jumped into the sealing room. 

I felt Miki shift inside of me and noticed that Naruto was already leaking with the Kyuubi's chakra. "What do you think your sitting on?" Naruto yelled. "Give Gaara back!" he growled. Deidara laughed and made a clay bird, "Are you coming with me?" Deidara asked. I nodded and he made the clay bird come to life. I jumped up next to him and took off with Deidara, "So that's your brother?" he asked. I sighed, "My knuckleheaded brother." he chuckled. Kakashi and Naruto ran after us, "Damn, I just wanted to fight the Jinchurriki. I'll have to get rid of the Copy Ninja somehow." he muttered. I looked down and threw some clay grasshoppers, "I've got this." I said as I made them explode on Kakashi's clone. I dropped a bird in his face and blew it up before he had too much time to react. He dodged it slightly but still got a little injuryed from it. Kakashi blew Deidara's other arm into another dimension and made the bird fall. "Dammit." Deidara said and jumped off the bird. I landed next to him, "Go I'll handle them." I said. "Are you sure?" he asked. I nodded and he jumped away while I waited for Team Kakashi to show up. They finally made it and I walked out from the shadows, "Who are you?" Kakashi asked. I put my hand on my hood and flipped it back to show my face. I heard their gasp,"M-moe?" I heard Naruto ask. I looked up, "Long time, no see. Naruto." I said emotionless.

I could tell he wanted to run up and hug me, but right now we're enemies. I'm sure he's realized that I'm not playing around either. "Why would you join the Akatsuki?" Naruto asked angered. I looked at him monotonely, "To become strong." I told him. He clentched his fist and swung at me, "Bullshit!" he yelled. I grabbed his wrist before his fist made contact with my face and held it strongly, "Naruto, I'm extremely strong now. This was a bad move." I said as I snapped his wrist and threw him to the side. I heard him grunt and run at me with another punch, but this time I pushed his hand to the side. I punched him in the stomach and kicked him in the face towards the rest of the team. 

"Moe wake up!" Naruto yelled at me while wiping blood off his face. I chuckled darkly, "I've been awake for a long time Naruto. My path is the path of darkness. You can't stop me." I said sinisterly. He was taken back from my comment and I saw tears lacing his eyes, "Was all the time you spent in Konoha with us for nothing? What was I to you?" he whispered. I looked down, "No. I thought that was my path once, being with all of you. And you were the best older brother I've ever had." I told him honestly. He looked up at me with hope in his eyes, "But I have chosen my path." I said getting in a fighting stance, "I will kill you if need be." He looked at me shocked, "M-moe..." he trailed off. I felt my ring burn on my skin, 'Don't fight them. Just hurry back to base.' Itachi said. I sighed, "You're lucky I'm needed somewhere else." I said while teleporting to the new base. 

I walked around and saw everyone crowding a body. I walked up and gasped, "S-sasori?" Itachi walked up to me and pulled me into a hug as I cried into his cloak. I could feel the hatred bubbling up inside of me. Because of Konoha I lost a member of my family. I looked down at Sasori's peaceful face, it was like he wasn't dead. I cried harder into Itachi's chest, "Shhh... I'm sorry you had to see this Moe." he told me. I clenched my fist, 'I will destroy Konoha if they take another family member from me.' I vowed.

Naruto's POV

Granny Chiyo died reviving Gaara, but Gaara's alive now. A lot of people from Suna came to help out in rescuing him. We helped him to the village and buried Granny Chiyo. Before we left we went to visit her grave to pay our respects. Gaara stuck his hand out to me and I smiled softly before grabbing his hand, shaking it. "Naruto," he started, "Don't give up on Moe. I can still sense some light inside of her." he told me. I nodded and grinned, "I'll bring her back, believe it!" I said. He smiled and nodded. We started walking away and I looked in the distance, 'I will bring you back Moe. I love you.'
