Rimuru POV

I had barely processed what was happening when Milim, as usual, took it upon herself to carry me like a princess. It was… well, embarrassing, to say the least, but after 10,000 years, I had more or less given up on complaining. Besides, with her iron grip, I wasn’t sure she’d let me down even if I asked.

“Milim, you can put me down now…” I tried, knowing it was a losing battle.

“Nope! You’re comfy like this,” she chirped, her usual energy overflowing. She smiled at me like a proud knight. “Besides, I can protect you better like this!”

“...protect me? From what?” I deadpanned, trying to wriggle free, but she clung on even tighter, her strength far beyond what I could contend with in this position.

The moment we arrived, I felt the immediate difference in the air—or rather, the lack of air. This world wasn’t like anything I’d experienced before. Every aspect of it, down to the very atoms, was spiritual in nature. No gravity, no physical particles—just pure, undiluted spiritual essence. My body, even though it was largely spiritual, was still used to some semblance of the material world.

It was bizarre. Even the planet beneath us was composed entirely of spiritual elements. The trees, mountains, and oceans everything was a manifestation of spiritual energy. It was almost like being in a dream or an illusion that felt real but wasn't governed by the same rules as Cardinal World or Earth. The entire planet, and everything surrounding it, seemed to exist on a different level of reality.

I glanced upward, where a bright sun burned, but it wasn’t a physical star. No, it too was spiritual in nature, an endless supply of energy bathing the surrounding seven planets in an ethereal glow. It felt… odd, and somehow familiar. I vaguely remembered something similar from Ramiris’ labyrinth, and I had to wonder if she’d taken inspiration from this world at some point. Or had this world been inspired by her? Hard to say.

“That sun…” I muttered, squinting at it. “It feels like… a labyrinth?” I glanced over at Ramiris, who was already floating beside me, proudly inspecting the landscape.

“Oh, yep, yep! This world has lots of similarities to my labyrinth, doesn’t it? It’s all spiritual energy, just like my prime days! See, Rimuru, this place is nothing for us. We’ll fit right in!” Ramiris puffed out her chest, her small form glowing with excitement.

Her energy seemed more potent here, as if this world fed her strength. It made sense she was once the Queen of Spirits, after all.

Veldora, who had arrived just after Chloe, was looking around in wonder. “Ha! Finally, a world where I can stretch my wings properly!” he boomed, already brimming with excitement. “No physical limitations, just pure spiritual force. It’s been too long since I’ve felt this free.” He immediately began to test the limits of his strength, charging up his magical energy with a grin on his face. He looked like he was ready to start a fight with… well, anyone, honestly.

Chloe, meanwhile, was more reserved, as usual. She floated gracefully nearby, surveying the spiritual world with her usual calmness, although I could tell she was intrigued.

“So, this world… everything here is spiritual?” Chloe asked, mostly to herself. Her eyes glimmered slightly as she tested the boundaries of her control, perhaps trying to manipulate the ambient energy to see how far it would bend to her will.

Milim, still holding me, let out a loud laugh. “Yup! And that means there’s no boring physics to hold us back! We can blow up mountains and fly without worrying about the usual rules.” She grinned wickedly, her eyes practically sparkling at the thought. “I’m gonna have so much fun here!” She took off into the air, still carrying me like I weighed nothing, her speed kicking up bursts of spiritual energy in the air around us.

“Milim! I said put me down!” I protested again, but she was already too far gone, excited by the new world.

As we flew, I noticed that this planet was surrounded by seven other planets, each orbiting the spiritual sun. I couldn’t help but marvel at the unique nature of this world. The continents themselves were divided by elemental forces. Each one had a dominant elemental energy that dictated the creatures, magic, and even the very landscape.

Beneath us was the Fire Continent, an inferno of volcanic ranges and rivers of molten lava. The magical creatures there were clearly fire-based, and I could see dragons made of living flame soaring through the sky.

Off in the distance was the Air Continent, where a massive palace floated among the clouds, suspended in an endless storm. The air itself seemed to be alive with power, and I could feel the wind magic swirling even from here.

“So, Rimuru,” Milim grinned, snapping me out of my thoughts, “which continent do you want to conquer first?”

“I’m not here to conquer anything!” I sighed, exasperated. “I just wanted to get away from the paperwork, not start a war…”

Milim pouted. “Boo! You’re no fun.” But she didn’t let go of me, still carrying me through the spiritual sky like some kind of trophy.

Ramiris zoomed up beside us, laughing as she looped through the air. “This is amazing! I feel like I’m back in my prime! Look at all this spiritual energy, Rimuru! This place is like a playground for us!” She grinned mischievously, clearly already planning some kind of chaos.

“I can see that,” I muttered. I wasn’t sure if I should be excited or worried. Knowing Ramiris, there was no telling what kind of trouble she’d stir up.

Veldora was still off in the distance, testing his magical powers by creating massive storms of energy in the air, each one growing bigger and more chaotic as he pushed himself. Meanwhile, Chloe was experimenting with her own control over the space around her, bending the spiritual energy to her will with precision. She seemed calm, but I could tell she was intrigued by the potential this world offered.

I looked around at my chaotic companions, each one so eager to test the limits of this spiritual world, while I was stuck here being carried around like a child by Milim.

“Ciel…” I called out in my mind, hoping for some relief. “Please, help me out here.”

Ciel’s voice, as usual, was calm and collected. But now she had a cheeky undertone to her words. “Why, Rimuru sama? Milim seems to be enjoying herself. And this world is fascinating, isn’t it? You should relax and enjoy the view.”

“I’m not enjoying the view. I’m being carried like a princess!”

*“You do look quite cute being carried like that.”*

“…Ciel, I swear—”

She giggled softly. *“I’m just teasing you, Rimuru-sama. I’ll let you down eventually. But for now, Milim seems to be having fun, so I’ll allow it.”*

I groaned, slumping in Milim’s arms as I resigned myself to my fate. This was my life now. After 10,000 years of paperwork and chaos, I was being carried through a spiritual world like a trophy by a dragon princess.

“Alright, fine. But if we find something interesting, I’m taking charge,” I muttered under my breath.

Milim’s eyes sparkled again. “Of course, you’re the boss! But until then, just relax and let me carry you. It’s fun!” She grinned at me, and I couldn’t help but smile back, despite everything.

At least things were never boring with these guys around.
