Ten years later

I was pissed so pissed I wanted to go to New Oleans that very day I got turned to hunt down Klaus and Freya and Cassandra, but Bonnie begged me to stay with my daughter Ayah, she assured me that Aya needed me more than ever, especially at that time when she was just a baby. She and Stefan said that if I went after Klaus I would have been as good as dead and leave my daughter an orphan. 

It's been ten whole years, and a lot has changed and our group of friends isn't as intact as it was. Some friendships have broken up and some are still lingering. Elena is mad at Bonnie for not bringing back Jeremy from the dead, but Bonnie didn't have enough magic to do it and she would have died if she did. Two years ago she met Enzo, her current boyfriend and they have been travelling the world together, which pissed Elena even more that she is forgetting about baby bro Jer.

Caroline started a Boarding school in the Salvatore's house, a school for the gifted ran by her and Alaric and it was actually created for their twin daughters who were magically implanted in Caroline. It is a school for the supernatural kids, that includes Ayah. We found out a few months after she was born that she is a witch, a very powerful witch and Bonnie says she has never felt any power from witches that radiates off of her. 

Then we have Elena, my sister who is not talking to me because I didn't do anything about Jenna and Jeremy's deaths, she blames me for their death and not avenging them. But little does she know in the ten years that have passed I have been doing my homework on them and their every move. I know everything about the Mikaelsons, Freya being one of them and Cassandra a mere puppet.

She and Damon have been dating for years and she broke up with Stefan a few months after the nightmare of three deaths in one night mine included in our house. 

Stefan is now a mechanic and we live in Grorgia and I am a waitress at a Cafe. He is my bestfriend and we have been friends ever. Ayah calls him uncle Stef.

I drove in at  the Garage that he works at, "Hey Stefan, look who's home for the weekend" I said and opened the door for Aya as she ran out of the car and hugged a dirty Stefan.

"Rosie....." he hugged her tickling her and making her clothes dirty from the dirt on his clothes. "I missed you so much." he gave her another hug.

"Okay, that's enough. You weren't that excited when you saw me, I'm jealous." I joked. Ayah lives in Mystic Falls at the Boarding school and she only comes for the weekend once a month, it's the rules of the school but parents are allowed to go to school and see them anyday they want. I always go thrice a week to check up on her, and when she's missing me or wants to see me she sends me a letter magically. She loves being a witch, when she can use Caroline's phone and call.

"Pack up, we're going home." Stefan and I live together, we didn't see why we couldn't. He's even the one that suggested it and another reason we had to leave is because we are vampires and people would wonder why we haven't aged a day. So we all left except for Matt who is human and Caroline who is selling a fake story of how she ages slowly.

"You know Riley, I love my job more than you do yours and I don't want to get fired." I laughed, Stefan compelled himself this job.

"Oh really, Ayah let's go honey." we walked to the car and Stefan came along. Stefan and Ayah love a home cooked meal and so I prepared a quick dinner for us while the two showered. In their own bedrooms.

After eating the two picked a movie as I showered.

"As a vampire I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm exshausted." I complained, earning a glare from Stefan.

I heard a small chuckle "Vampires don't get tired mommy." she said concentrating on the Hotel Translyvania movie that we are watching for the fourth time in two months. I swear I'm sick of this movie.

"This one is baby, this movie again?" I asked kissing her on top of her head sitting next to her on the rug with a throw blanket on it. Stefan sat on her right with a bowl of sweet chili doritos and another with popcorn for the two of them. I don't like eating popcorn.

I grabbed my doritos " Thank you Mr. Salvatore."

"A pleasure Miss Gilbert." he looked at the screen and I reached my hand over Ayah's head to pat Stefan's. He hates it when I do that. "Stop" he pushed me playfully.

Watching the movie to the end with me complaining against the movie it finally came to an end. Ayah-Rose was already sleeping with her head on my lap, thankfully I didn't have to ask Stefan to carry her to her bedroom so I'd tuck her in. Not that I can't carry her own my own.

After putting her to bed and almost leaving her room, I noticed drawings on her nightstand. They were drawings of a woman I have never seen, lots of them and some drawings of flowers. She drew the same flower over and over on multiple pages in her sketchpad. The woman seemed a bit old, with dark hair. Although she's just one of my daughter's sketches probably no one important she gives me the chills.

I looked over at Ayah and gave her a good night kiss on her forehead which made her snuggle. "I love you baby."

"I love you mommy."

I wish I could do this everynight but to keep her safe I had to put her in that school and Bonnie did a cloaking spell on her, me and Stefan so no one would find her. 

I have heard rumors of people trying to find my daughter, but those that have done so did not return to their master to report back because I delt with them. When it comes to my daughter, I am ruthless.

Ayah-Rose Sommers is the name she uses at school so no one knows who she really is. Stefan and I faked our names as well.
