Tonight was it. The sky pitch black. Starless. Marking the start and end of the abuse.
They sat alone in the dark, curled up, trembling. Too scared to move.
They must've lost their heart again, leaving behind the old feeling of emptiness.
Even so, they acted like the queen of hearts, white roses turning a ruby red.
Bouquets laid at their feet, treading carefully, trying not to crush their fragile stems.
Petals fell. Quiet, silent. White like snow. Before they too, were painted over. How ironic was it? Someone heartless acting like the queen of them- that's quite a sin.
Maybe they were waiting. Waiting for her downfall, and the rise of the king.
Lotus buds blooming on the water. White petals gradually unfurling, drifting
Away from the shore. Maybe they'll find solace, unlike the queen who'll never get her wings.
And red spider lilies fell, twirling gracefully for a brief moment as they halted their descension
Before cascading down, down. Landing at their feet, as if they were a gift from heaven.Red like fire. Blazing amidst the running water, turning everything into ashes as they decayed,
Roses now charcoal black. Chrysanthemums on their desk, decorating the empty grave.
Prepared and waiting for their soul to crumble. A single dahlia pushed to the side.
Resting on top a stack of letters. They had too much to say. But not enough to leave behind.
The unbearable feeling of guilt and sorrow bubbling up. Aconite petals tumbling from between
Their parted lips. More, and more, until they started gasping. For they couldn't breathe.Fireworks crackled overhead as they watched, entranced. The flow filtering in
From their opened window. Everyone was celebrating. Celebrating their disgrace.
They too joined the celebration. Lifting their glass, they laughed as it shattered
In their hands. Rolls of bandages keeping the broken pieces together. A chorus of clamouring.
Their once-glorious kingdom now left completely desolate. Their wine glass raised out of pity,
Blood spilt from the cracks as they drank, finally putting an end to their twisted symphony.
