Aurora sat by the window of her bedroom, staring blankly at the gardens below. The sun was setting, casting long shadows over the manicured lawns and rose bushes, but she hardly noticed. Her mind was a storm of thoughts and emotions, a mix of anger, fear, and uncertainty.

Tomorrow she was going back to Hogwarts. She already had all of her stuff packed and ready, but she wished she was already there. Surrounded by her best friends, Hermione, Ron and Harry. The four of them would be in the library, most likely because Hermione forced them to, Ron and Hermione would be arguing about something dumb and her and Harry would be absolutely fed up with it. But daydreaming about being there wasn't going to make the time go any faster.

As the last rays of sunlight faded, Aurora turned away from the window, her reflection in the glass catching her eye. She barely recognized the girl staring back at her. Sure she was still the girl with brown hair and hazel eyes. But there was a underlying hurt in her eyes, the ghost of the little girl she used to be even if not for long. Aurora always felt like she was forced out of childhood, always having to act proper and adult-like. The only time she could be herself was with her friends, even then she kept secrets because what were they supposed to do if they found out about her parents. Nothing, they couldn't do anything and nether could she.

She wondered what they were doing right now, she knew that Hermione and Harry were staying at the Weasley's after the quidditch world cup. They were probably laughing and having a great time, without her. Aurora also wondered if they ever thought about her when she wasn't around, or only when she was around.

Harry sat around with Hermione and Ron in the living room of the Weasley's. Hermione and Ron were bickering about S.P.E.W, again. S.P.E.W (The Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare) Hermione, after hearing about how house elf's were treated decided to create S.P.E.W. But Harry wasn't thinking about that.

He missed Aurora. Correction; he miss his friend Aurora. Or at least that's what he tried to convince himself. There was nothing wrong with missing your best-friend. He and Aurora always got along a bit better than the others, Ron and Hermione would be going on about something and the two of them would talk and actually found out that they had a lot in common. And now Harry considers Aurora one of his closest friends.

As Ron and Hermione's argument grew louder, Harry's mind drifted back to his conversations with Aurora. He remembered her laughter, her smile, and the way she always seemed to understand him without needing words. She just understood him in a way no one else could. Without her around it seemed like there was a piece of their four piece puzzle missing. By that he meant that when it was just him Ron and Hermione there was a missing piece, Aurora.

Harry glanced at the others, his thoughts pulling him further away from the conversation. He missed the ease of their friendship, the way they could talk about anything and everything. Their friend group wasn't complete without her.
