Aurora sat in the Great Hall, surrounded by her friends, shoving as much food into her mouth as humanly possible. The buzz of chatter and the clinking of cutlery filled the air, but she was focused on the feast before her.

Ron shook his head as he watched her. "I don't understand how such a small person can eat so much."

Aurora paused, glaring playfully at Ron. "I'm average height!"

Ron gave her a look, raising an eyebrow. "You're five foot."

"Exactly, average," Aurora retorted, her tone defiant.

"Is average another word for short?" Ron teased.

Aurora stuck her tongue out at him before taking another bite. "Just wait until dessert. You'll see how much I can really eat."

"-It is also my painful duty to inform you that the inter house Quidditch cup will not take place this year."

Aurora dropped her fork and her mouth fell wide open. She turned to look at Harry, who looked like a child that just got denied candy.

"This is due to an event that will be starting in October, and continuing throughout the school year, taking up much of the teachers time and energy but i am sure you'll enjoy it immensely. I have great pleasure in announcing that this year we have the honor of hosting the Triwizard Tournament."

"YOU'RE JOKING!" Fred Weasley shouted, causing the entire Gryffindor table to erupt into a loud roar of laughter.

"I am not joking, Mr Weasley though now that you mention it, I did hear and excellent one over the summer about a troll, a hag and a leprechaun who all go into a bar-"

Professor Mcgonagall cleared her throat loudly.

"Perhaps now is not the time. Where was I.. ah.. yes, the Triwizard Tournament, was first established some seven hundreds of years ago as a friendly competition between the three largest European schools of wizardry, Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrag. A champion was selected to represent each school, and three champions competed in three magical task's. The school took it's turns to host the tournament once every five years and generally agreed to be a most excellent way for the students to engage of different nationalities and cultures — until that is the death toll mounted so high that the tournament was discontinued."

"Death toll?"

"The heads of Beauxbatons and Durmstrag will be arriving with their short-listed contenders in and the selection of the three champions will take place at Halloween."

"I'm doing it." Fred Weasley grinned as the entire table clapped for him.

"You think I should do it?" Ron asked, wiggling his eyebrows at Hermione and Aurora.

"Absolutely not. You'll die." Aurora teased. "I would do it though. So many badass stories to tell after that."

"Heads in the participating schools, along with the ministry of Magic have agreed to impose an age restriction on contenders this year. Only students who are of age, that is to say, seventeen years or older, will be allowed to put forward their names for consideration."
