The term exams ended, and they were about to vacate. Brian and his group of friends threw a party which Chae Rin was obviously invited to.
Brian still hadn't announced to his friends that they were dating, and this bothered Chae Rin.
Chae Rin: When are you going to introduce me to your friends?

Brian: Calm down, honey. I'll do it today towards the end of the party.
Chae Rin: OK
Brian: Go and have fun with your friends. I'll bring you some punch later.
Chae Rin: Don't be late.
He kissed her on the cheek and disappeared into the crowd. She happily danced with her friends till evening set in. Then she looked around for Brian, who hadn't come by since he left.

She searched some more till she found him, and she dropped the glass cup in her hands. The glass shattered to many pieces as her heart just did.
She caught him kissing another girl as they danced. He still kissed the girl even when he saw Chae Rin looking at him. Chae ran out in tears, with her hands on her mouth.
She couldn't scream as she'd lost the voice to. She was tipsy from something she drank and fainted on the road.
