Fortunately, her parents weren't at home, but the housemaid made sure to inform them of her return as soon as she opened the door. She was screwed either way.
She got yelled at, grounded and phone confiscated, but that didn't mean anything to her.
A/C: yes, parents still do that. Cheers to them(I'm being serious).
Her mother figured out that she was heartbroken, 'cause she'd been crying for days and refused to leave her room. She felt bad for her baby girl and went to her room to talk to her.
Her dad wasn't planning on un-grounding her anytime soon. But it was for the best. It would help her get her bearings and heal.
Mom: This isn't healthy. You've been crying non-stop for days. Please open the door. Talk to me, I'm your mommy. I'm here to help you. Chae?
Chae Rin was at the door in her PJs and dishevelled hair. Her eyes were swollen and still teary. Her mom hugged her rightly and sat down with her. She told her mom everything whilst in tears. Her mother smiled at her, which she wasn't expecting.
Mom: My little girl. We've all gone through something like that. But that didn't stop us from living. You'd heal up soon, so stop crying over a boy who isn't worth it.
Someday, he'd come to regret what he's doing. And as for Dade, you treated him terribly.
Chae Rin continued crying a river.
Chae Rin: I know. I want to apologize to him in person, but he's not around.
Mom: Do so. He cared for you. There're not many that will do so without an ulterior reason. If you ask me, I'd say he likes you.
Chae Rin paused and started laughing.
Chae Rin: There's no way. We were just friends, plus I'm not his type, I know.
Mom: With my experience, I can tell without having to see him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at our doorstep someday, asking to see you.
Chae Rin: Oh, stop it, mom~ I can't tell if you're being serious or just trying to make me laugh.
Mom: More or less both? Come on, let's go out today. We'll have girl time all day today. I'm clearing my schedule, just for you.
Chae Rin hugged her tightly in appreciation. Her dad felt left out and came up to her room.
Dad: Why do I feel left out? Are you girls going out? I'll drive if you invite me.
Chae Rin ran to hug her dad and hepatted her head after seeing her puffy face.
Dad: Someone hurt my little girl. He's gonna get it this time.
Chae Rin: Please don't. How do you know it's a he? Or you guessed?
Dad: I just know. Call it dad instincts.
Mom giggles and heads downstairs to instruct the housemaid on the food preparation.
Dad: Now get some rest. I'll still hold on to your devices in the meantime.
Chae Rin complied easily, surprising him. She dozed off immediately.
They had a family outing, and she enjoyed her day and the holiday after that. The time went by, and the school began for the session.
Shoutout to our parents who were/are always there for us☆(if it triggered any sad emotions, I truly apologize).
