Chapter 11 \\ the astronomy tower goes dark

Ginny had a very slow year. She went to class's, went to the library to do her homework, by the time she was done it was dinner, once a week there was a slug club metting, and once every month she met tonks in hogsmade. Turns out the only thing both the ministry and order wanted her to do was to scout hogsmade every day.

Ginny had spent Christmas break at Hogwarts that year to study for her owls.

Today, June 26th, was no different than any other Thursday. She went to her classes, then did her charms and transfiguration in the library and after dinner she went to the common room.

She had just sat down when harry came running in.

He ran up to the boys dorm than not three minutes later he ran down and handed the marauders map and filex filicius to Hermione.

"Dumbeldor and I are leaving the castle, split this between you lot and jasmine and Neville. I want you to watch snape and malfoy on the map, contact the other DA members to be on their guard. Gotta go!" And he ran out.

"EXPELIARMUS!"

"CONFINGO!"

"CRUCIO!"

There was a scream in the distance. Ginny spun around fighting off three deatheaters. The spells seemed to just nearly miss her. She managed to nock out two of them and the third ran away in fear when she tried to hex him.

She saw harry run past her and realized he was chasing Snape and Draco.

Suddenly all the fighting stopped. Do you ever feel like your on the verge of extinction and suddenly time pauses skips forward a few seconds and suddenly everything is ok? That's how Ginny felt when the deatheaters disapparated away.

She looked around and saw everyone around her. They all looked worn out and many in pain. She ran to the hospital wing and entered in time to hear harry.

"Dumbeldore's dead. Snape killed him. W-e had got back and malfoy cornered him on the astronomy tower. Snape showed up with a bunch of deatheaters. Dumbeldore pleaded but snape didn't listen a-and he killed him."

Ginny looked around and watched as molly muttered something.

"What do you mean by zat?" Fler snapped. "You think E' will not want to marry me now sat E' is bitten? Or perhaps you hoped?"

"no-" she tried to speak.

"Waat? You think I will not want to marry 'im now sat he looks like zis? Because I will! There scars show sat 'e iz brave! I am good looking enough for ze both of us I think! And I will do zat!"

There was a think silence.

"You see?! She still wants to marry him even though he's been bitten!" All heads swilved to tonks as she shouted to Remus.

"That's different, bill won't be a full werewolf. He won't be dangerous. I am-"

"But I still want you!"

"I've told you, I'm to old, to poor, and to dangerous."

"I don't care! Remus-"

"Now isn't the time, Dumbeldore is-"

"Albus Dumbeldore would have been happier know there was a bit more love in the world." Everyone likes at professor McGonagall as she stood there looking Incredibly stern as she glared at Remus.

That's when ginny spoke up.

"Harry, where did Dumbeldore-?"

"The astronomy tower. You know how most the time the stars and candles light up tower? It was like they where gone. Like the tower just, went dark."

'Mistress was advised to keep it in a drawer until the astronomy tower goes dark'

She jumped up from the chair she had sat in seconds prior.

"Oh my god." Everyone looked at her. "Kreacher!"

*snap*

"Mistress called?"

"Kreacher remember the loket you gave me? Its in a drawer under my bed in grimuald place. Can you get it?"

He nodes and left. Seconds later her appeared again with the loket. No one could she what he had handed her because of her spot on the corner of the room.

Jasmine walked in just in to see to see kreacher leave and frowned.

"Was that gross elf thing from grimmuald place here?"

The words had just nearly left her mouth but in instant Ginny's wand was pressed to her neck. "Shut up before I send you to Dumbeldore."

She frowned. Tonks walked up and pulled Ginny away from her. "Dumbeldore's dead."

"Harry, he had a mission for you right? You have to take me and sirius with you."

"What! No way!"

She walked up and stood so only harry could see and pulled the loket out of her poket.

He looked at her and hesitantly nodded. "Fine."

"To the dark lord, I know I will be dead long before you read this but it was I who discovered your secret. I have stolen the real horcrux and intend to destroy it. I face death in the hope at wen you meet your match you will be mortal once more. R. A. B."

They had gone to the astronomy tower and harry opened the fake loket.

"Who's R.A.B.?" hermione questioned.

"Regulus Arcturus black." Ginny looked at the loket and thought. " he was a deflected deatheater. Sirius's brother. His old room is right next to mine." Ere was a short silence.

"When do we leave?" Ron Broke the silence.

"After Dumbeldore's funeral."

She nodded. The four of them sat in silence, something they had done a lot that day.
