Chapter 1I WALKED DOWN THE STREETS, OF QUANTICO VIRGINIA but they were only slightly busy which is unusual for the time of day on a monday, usually it's very packed any other day. I had a hot chocolate i had picked up from a nearby coffee store in one hand, a book i had read in that store in my other hand and a small work bag slung over one shoulder.
My boots clicked along the sidewalk, the noise grounding me and helping my nerves as I made my way to my new job I had just been transferred to.
It wasn't really my choice in the matter though I don't have any complaints. I had previously worked in the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime but when there was an issue during my time there and i was recently reached out to by a few agents to transfer to the BAU and I figured that maybe that was the better thing to do.
Thinking about my nerves, how everything was a new change of senery got me more in my head than I would've figured. Which I paid for when I hit someone at full force.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" I gasped. Thankfully he wasn't holding anything, but me, everything I was holding dropped to the floor.
I quickly reached down for my book and moved it away from the puddle that was now my hot chocolate.
"Are you hurt?" I heard the voice I shook my head quickly, tucking the hair that had fell in front of my face behind my ear.
"No, i'm perfectly fine, thankfully. That could've ended terribly. But i'm so sorry I bumped into you I wasn't looking where I was going- totally my bad and i'm so sorry once again-" I stopped rambling as I finally stood and looked up to who I bumped into.
He had my mouth shutting immediately from shock. He had piercing brown eyes that I could feel was tearing apart my entire appearance as he looked at me. His eyebrows were pulled together in a slight frown and his light pink lips stayed in a line.
There was something about him that was intoxicating to me, my eyes wanted to roam on every part of him and as I glanced down to what he was wearing knew why. He was wearing a suit that looked better on him than I had seen on any other man before.
