ONCE THE CASE HAD FINALLY COME TO A CLOSE the team figured it would be best if we stayed at the hotel that night instead of travelling back so late

Once I finished showering in the hotel I made my way into the bedroom seeing Hotch still awake

"I thought you'd be out by now"

"I figured i'd wait for you to fall asleep first" when my eyebrows pulled together in distaste Aaron chuckled
"Come on. I'm making sure you get some sleep" i walked over to the bed and climbed inside, turning over to face Aaron who was already facing in my direction as he laid on his side

"I don't think i'll be able to" I whispered and he frowned

"You will, i'm right here, and i'm not going anywhere" his words were more comforting that he could ever know

Ten minutes had now passed but I was still unable to sleep, my eyes remained shut but It just wasn't happening

I finally opened my eyes seeing Aaron still facing my way, his eyes watching me like he hadn't move since

"I'm sorry" I whispered tearing up
"Please just go to sleep" Aaron's hands reached up to my face to wipe away a tear that had fell on my cheek and kept his hand there, moving it up to my hair as he brushed it back with his fingers

"It may take a while, but you'll get there. I'm still here, and i'm staying" the mixture of comfort Aaron gave me and the warmth of his touches made me even more tired and this time I didn't open my eyes again

WHEN MY EYES OPENED THE NEXT MORNING I WAS not expecting to be tucked into my boss' chest. His arms holding onto me tightly whilst his hands stayed wrapped around my waist
