Chapter 2

I WALKED OUT OF THE HOSPITAL AND WENT OVER to Rossi who was waiting outside for me trying to get some information on the other victim

"What do you got?" He asked me as we started walking away from the building.

"He volunteered here, went to get a snack around 11 last night"

"That's the same time as the killings" Rossi put together and I nodded.

"He always went to the same sub shop across the street. he'd cut through the alley to get there. Did you find out anything on Sam?"

"Garcia just spoke with a coworker. Turns out they come to Philly one week a month and stay at a nearby hotel. That's who Sam was getting dinner for" we came to a stop somewhere across the street.

"So these victims weren't together?" I asked.

"No. And if Bruce is a volunteer here, then he's a good samaritan type and probably came up on the scene and tried to intervene"

"Okay, so If it wasn't personal, then the anger was weighing on the Unsub prior to the altercation, so where does that stem from?"

We had figured that the Unsub was developing a sort of bloodlust from the kills and as of this morning he had killed another 2 men.

After we had given the profile Emily and Rossi came back from getting results on the autopsy.

"It makes sense. A fighter would have the endurance it takes to commit this kind of overkill on this many people with a pipe or with his hands"

Derek: "It would explain why at the first crime scene lined the bodies up in a corner it's like a ring" Hotch pulled out his phone and set it on the table

"Garcia, I need all the information you can find me on the Philadelphia boxing scene"

"Well let's see, theres rocky 1 through 5. And let's not forget about that last one"

"Penelope" Derek urged her

"Oh, sorry. Kidding. Here we go. The city produced such greats as Tyrone Everett and the late Joe Frazier who developed the Philly style of punching people and then the sport took off to Atlantic City in Vegas which put a dent in the Philadelphia scene but it did not kill the cities passion for the sport"

Me and Morgan had gone to the boxing ring in the local area and had urged to speak with the owner of the place who didn't seem to worried about giving out information to the FBI which was a big change. Usually people refrained from talking to us.
