flo pov
"and that's our show for today, see you guys tomorrow!" after ellen says those last few words, i shut off my tv, pulling my laptop onto my lap, heading onto my twitter, noticing that luke and his friends followed me.
i then get a text from luke.
flo, meet me at starbucks in five minutes!
i don't bother replying, just putting my laptop aside and heading off to starbucks. what could luke possibly have to tell me in person that he can't tell me over text, and we just saw each other an hour ago.
i shake the thought and continue my short walk to starbucks, finally arriving and seeing luke inside already with his usual drink.
"hey luke." i smile, sitting down across from him.
"hey flo, i need your opinion." luke says, sliding me a paper.
"whats this?" i ask, picking it up and reading the bold font at the top, it was a song.
"i need you to read over it for me. i want to know if its good enough to show the guys." luke says, as i nod my head, and begin reading the song.
"wow luke, this is really good, you should show this to the guys." i say, handing him the papers back.
"are you sure?" he asks.
"positive." i assure, as he smiles.
"thank you so much. i wrote this a little while ago, and i had some family read it, but you know family, they say everything you write or do is good, so i needed a real opinion.'' luke chuckles, as i smile to him.
"you know, you're really talented. well, song writing wise. i haven't heard you play or anything." i say, as luke blushes.
"how about you hear me play today instead of at band practice?" luke asks.
"i don't see why not.." i trail off, and luke smiles brightly and stands up, grabbing a hold of my hand and dragging me away to his apartment.
luke intertwines our fingers and begins swinging our hands back and fourth. to be honest, i don't know what luke and i are. are we friends? are we friends with benefits? are we a thing? i could care less in the long run. i like luke, even if we stayed friends forever, which i hope will happen, i like him a lot. he's just a cool person to be around, he gives off this super positive and happy vibe. i need a guy like him around.
"and here is my apartment." he says, opening his door after fiddling around with his key.
"it's nice." i say, looking around. i follow luke into what i'm guessing is his room. surprisingly, it's very neat. he sits down on his bed, then pats the spot next to him, motioning for me to sit next to him. i sit down, and luke grabs his guitar from across his bed.
"what do you want me to play?" he asks.
"do you like one direction?" i ask, as he smiles and nods.
"can you play me little things? i love that song." i smile.
"do you want me to sing too? i know the lyrics, but if you don't want me to it's fine." he says, as i lightly laugh at his uncertainty.
"yes, of course."
and with that, he begins strumming his guitar, and soon starts sining. being the emotional sap i am, when niall's solo begins, i want to cry. the boy just means so goddamn much to me. i push the thought aside and think of something happy, as luke finishes up.
"what do you think?" he asks.
"luke, you're amazing. you can get somewhere with your talent." i smile.
"really?" he asks.
"really."
