"Yeah, I'm walking into the house now." Lani spoke to Ty on the phone, stepping into her home with the phone to her ear.

She walked into the kitchen, placing her keys down on the counter.

"Nah, I got a gathering tomorrow. Got a lot of people coming out to see me." She said, heading toward her room.

"How much they paying you this time?" He asked, smacking on whatever he was eating.

"Only 30k. 'Bout 10 more than last time." She replied, walking into her room.

"I know this nigga did not..." She huffed.

"Who you talkin' 'bout, girl?" He asked.

"A fuckin' nother Birkin bag, some bundles, and 50k. This nigga just don't stop." She couldn't help but smile.

"Lil' girl, if I ask you one more tim—" He was interrupted by another call coming through. Lani pulled the phone from her ear, looking at the number. It looked familiar, so she said a quick "hold on" before answering.

"Hey, mami. You like your gifts?" The man happily spoke.

"Didn't I tell you to leave me alone?" She replied, the smile on her face fading.

"I know, mami... you mad about the cameras. I took them out while you been gone, mami. I just wanted to protect you. I'm sorry." His voice switched, sounding like he was pouting.

His voice turned Lani on once again, but she also felt saddened at the shift in his tone, so she decided to accept his apology.

"It's okay, baby. Thank you for the gifts—'specially the bundles. How you know that's what bitches be wanting? You cheating on me?" She joked, laughing.

"Never, mami. I got sisters, that's why." He smiled, genuinely thinking they were together.

"Oh, okay. What's your name? You never told me. I know it probably start with a K though." She asked.

"It's Kymani." He hesitated before speaking.

"Awww, that's such a pretty name." She said in awe.

"Mane, my name ain't pretty. My shit hard, mami." He mugged through the phone. Lani couldn't help but laugh at how serious he got.

"I'm sorry, baby. Your name is hard, it's not pretty." She went along with him. Mani couldn't help but smile at the pet name she called him.

"Am I ever gonna be able to meet you?" She asked.

"Soon, mami, soon. I'm just... scared." He mumbled.

"What you scared for?" She asked, genuinely confused.

"That you won't like me, won't find me attractive, you know." He spoke again.

That took Lani back. She realized she honestly didn't know who she was talking to. It could've been a fat guy who don't move off the couch. Or even somebody's husband tryna get her to be his sugar baby. Even though his voice turned her on, she genuinely didn't know who she was speaking to—and that started to scare her.

"Hello?" The voice spoke again.

"My bad, I zoned out for a minute. I hope I'm able to see you soon, though. I don't think I can continue talking to you if I don't know who I'm talking to." She said playfully, but she was actually serious.

"Soon, mami. I promise." He stressed.

"Aww, thank you! You're so pretty too." She smiled at her fan, taking a picture with them.

Lani was currently at her event held at the mall. They had blocked off an entire section just for her, which she loved.

The line to meet her was so long—it was definitely a packed section. Lani never felt so loved at one time.

"Jayda, so what do you think is coming next in your life?" An interviewer asked, waving the camera in her face.

"As far as right now, I honestly don't know. I like having a lot of time on my hands, and moving forward with new things will take up that time. But hopefully I'm able to start something very special in the future." She answered truthfully, with a smile on her face.

That was satisfying enough for the interviewer, so they walked away, allowing more fans to enter.

Lani spoke with all of them, smiling and giving as many hugs as she could. At this moment, she felt like she actually accomplished something in life.

"Bitch, you got the whole mami in this hoe." Ty walked up to her, looking around.

"You talk like a gay boy." Lani laughed at him, still hugging fans.

"Girl." He mugged, turning to sit his stuff down.

"See? That right there, that's what I'm talking about." She pointed at him.

"Stop that. You know I like pussy. Fat pussy at that." He reminisced.

"Omg, stop that! It's kids around, boy." Lani threw her hand over her mouth.

"Man, these kids know what that is already." He mugged, staring around at all the adults, teens, and kids.

"Aye, who that nigga right there?" He pointed at the man in all black with a cap over his head, standing between two security guards.

"I don't know." She shrugged, continuing to chat with her fans.

"He been staring for a hot minute on some weirdo shit." Ty mugged some more, getting up.

"Chill, Ty. He's probably a fan and too shy to come over here." She held him back, glancing at the man.

"Man, that nigga look weird just standing there. Lani, some shit gotta shake." He settled down.

"I'ma go talk to him. Calm down." Lani reassured him, letting her fans know she'd be right back. She started walking toward the man, but before she could reach him, he quickly turned around and walked away, the two men following behind.

"What in the world..." She frowned, confused, before turning back toward Ty.

"You saw that?" She pointed at where the man once stood.

"Nah, I was too busy talking to that big booty lightskin bitch." He pointed at the girl walking away.

"You are nasty, I swear." She mugged, going back to hugging and talking to her fans.
