Jungkook sat at the table with Namjoon as soon as Hoseok left. They were the only three at home, the others had preferred to be at home, with their families and girlfriends.
They had some food before starting the conversation.
"Jungkook-ah, you should know that I'm worried about this." Namjoon was the first, as always and bluntly, straight to understand why his maknae was acting so strange. Jungkook knew how to handle it.
"I know, but I want you to know that this is between me and him."
"I can't stop worrying, nor can anyone else." The leader assured, nervous about setting a boundary that he knew his friend wouldn't like. "We want you to fix this or end it as soon as possible."
Jungkook drank water and leaned back in the chair.
"This can't be done quickly...I spoke to him but he hasn't told me anything about what he plans to do."
"Were you good when you were at his house? Jimin is a tender soul, remember." The leader asked out of instinct, he was answered with an annoyed look. "I know you and you know it, just as I'm sure you are also aware that if you were like that with him...I mean harsh, it will be more difficult for him to want to return to you."
"You talk like he's a violent piece of shit." Jungkook let out a laugh, but Namjoon didn't flinch.
"You're not, but you know I love Jimin very much."
The sudden response awakened Jungkook's senses. Yes, he knew it. He put the chopsticks on the edge of the plate.
"I know, and as your brother I promise you that I would never do anything to hurt him, like you say."
"I care about both of you, Jungkook-ah." Namjoon said it seriously, prompting some sincerity. "More than what you believe."
"This isn't up to me, Hyung. I don't want to pressure him." Jungkook accepted the honesty and continued eating. "If that's why you wanted to talk to me, I swear you don't have to worry about me."
Namjoon sighed and finished eating after twenty minutes in silence in front of his best friend. He got up from the table and walked to the kitchen.
"If you buy him chocolates, he will be happy. There is a store at the end of the street that sells them, take advantage of the fact that we are going to practice tomorrow and bring them to him."
It was a memory that he was sad to recommend. Jungkook thanked him without saying anything and left the house.
When he was alone, Namjoon put down the dishes and leaned over the sink. Some time ago, he would have cried. Hoseok came out of his bedroom and watched him, immediately going over to hug him.
"You did good, Hyung." He told him, and his boyfriend kissed him on the cheek.
"Still, you know I can't help but get like this." Namjoon admitted, because he knew that Hoseok had loved him and understood, more than anyone else, his unrequited love for Jimin, and how that led him to discover Hoseok's feelings from a long time ago.
He taught him to let go.
Hoseok grabbed his face and kissed him on the forehead.
"I love you, Joon."
Namjoon kissed him back.
"And I to you, Seok."
