I open the door of my penthouse and immediately step on a stuffed animal with a squeaker inside.
Damnit. It's so late.
Working endlessly with my other producers friends tonight, has me coming home damn near midnight. Travis Scott refused our newest song that our ghost writer had written for him.. the song was perfect, I worked my ass off on the beats. Sadly his mind wasn't in the right place.. high off his ass, he said the beat "just didn't move him."
What a prick.
What was supposed to be three hours of studio time tonight, quickly became eight.. With duty calling, I had to quickly come up with a plan being that my daughter got out of preschool long before I could make it home. Luckily I have a babysitter that I can truly depend on.
I ease my foot off of the loud teddy bear, letting the squeak fade quietly away to avoid waking up my baby girl, Adeline.
The house is wrecked with toys and all types of arts and crafts, but I don't mind because my baby is asleep. Something she doesn't get much of now adays since her mother and I's ugly divorce.
As Adeline sleeps soundly, cuddled against her nanny, Kori, I notice the colorful floaties and strobe lights still flashing on my terrace-side pool.

They must've had a blast playing and swimming all day.. I'm sorry that I couldn't have joined, being that work got in the way like always.
I appreciate all that Kori does for Adeline.. My daughter can get a bit clingy towards the ones she cares for, but Kori handles her with such care and grace.
As the two of them sleep peacefully on the couch, I gently pick up Adeline and carry her into her bedroom. I sniff her sweetly shampooed curls as I kiss her head goodnight and tuck her in.
My daughter's belly is full, she's bathed, worn out, happy, and best of all put down for a goodnight sleep. Her and Kori must've passed out as they read a bedtime story together..
The young woman, so exhausted from caring for my daughter sleeps soundly with the storybook still in her hands. Kori somehow managed to give Adeline a bath and put on her jammies before crashing still in her own swimsuit.
I remove the book from her hand and unfold the throw blanket from the couch. I begin to cover the babysitter as she rests.. However, my mouth begins to water as I spend too much time watching her warm flesh rise and fall with each breath she takes..
