He lays in bed waking up far past noon without much to care for. Depression eats him alive daily, but not as bad as the feeling of pure loneliness.
Forcing himself out of bed and into his bathroom, his reflection is a reminder of how much he's failed as a husband and father. He awaits the mirror to shatter, believing that if he continues to stare at himself with such hate... that maybe soon it will.
Today he showers, moisturizes, and brushes his teeth, something that recently feels more like a chore than a necessity.

He begins to think that his mind is playing tricks on him as he listens into what sounds like his wife's 1997 red Porsche pull into the driveway... But it can't be. His wife Jeanie hardly visits their home anymore since they separated months ago.
Oscar peaks out of the bathroom window with a perfect view of the driveway. He isn't crazy after all. His wife is here, along with their three year old daughter, Mira.
Not wasting a second more of time, he immediately rushes to his family.
Oscar spits out his toothpaste and dresses quickly in today's wear. He speeds out of the front door, nervous yet excited and proud to see how much his little toddler has grown in the last five months away from her father.
However, greeting them is always terribly hard. Every time that he meets eyes with his beautiful wife, he falls in love with her all over again.
