Familial Love
Things you should know before you read:
- deaf/autistic Lynette (she's got hearing implants)
- autistic Freminet
- Lyney trying to be the perfect role model
These are headcanons that's I've been really liking lately so I'll be writing them in my own story >_<
Lyney POV:
"We're hooooooome~" The young magician announced as he and his twin sister walked through the door, eagerly greeted by their younger brother, Freminet.
"Lyney! Lynette! You'll never believe what I saw today!" The younger blonde exclaimed as he bounced up and down in front of them, his robotic penguin, Pers, waddled over to his side.
"Exiting stand by mode" Lynette muttered as she looked down at her younger brother, turning her implants up as she smiled a little. "What is it, Frem?"
"Whale sharks! So many of them!" He exclaimed as Lyney pulled him into a hug, ruffling his hair.
"Thats awesome! Did you get any pictures?" The oldest boy asked as Freminet hugged him back
"Mhm! That camera system I put into my helmet works perfectly. I managed to get them saved and I'm gonna see if Mr. Wriothesley can print them for me tomorrow." He said.
Normally Freminet was pretty quiet around other people, always to socially awkward to start or continue any kind of conversation, so it always felt like high praise to Lyney whenever his brother opened up to tell him stories about his days.
"Would you mind showing us later? It'd be cool to see" His sister spoke as the youngest pulled away from Lyney, taking a turn to hug her next.
"Sure, I'll see if I can pull it up on the projector" Freminet nodded, letting out a content hum as Lynette hugged him back.
Lyney gave a pleased smile at the sight. It made him happy when he and his family could get along, especially on a day like today, Valentines Day. Speaking of which, he had surprises for the other two.
"So, how was your day Remi? Were you stealing a bunch of hearts?" He asked playfully as he took his hat off, preforming a small trick to let Rosseland out before giving her a quick pet and releasing her to walk about the house as she pleased.
"Well, I got a couple chocolates from that guy in my biology class, but it was hard to tell if he was because he was into me or because he was being nice" He mumbled as he scratched the back of his neck "Oh, but I got some from Miss Charlotte, also Navia and Mr. Wriothesley, but he said they were also from Mr. Neuvillette too, so that was nice"
"Good, I'm glad" The magician grinned and turned to his sister "How about you?"
"Oh you know, love confessions from fans, a whole bunch of chocolates and the weird stuff they try to give me too..." Both the twins shivered at the thought
"What about you Lyney? Did you get anything?" His younger brother asked as he picked Pers up from off the ground.
"Oh, same as always, cringey confessions from people I don't know, chocolates, a couple flowers, the... the weird gifts... oh, someone also got Rosseland a collar charm with her face details carved into it, I thought that was pretty cool" He said as the other two nodded, smiling a little "Anyways, how about you two go relax a little bit, put on some pajamas or something"
"Alright, we'll be out in a bit then" Lynette nodded as she and Freminet walked down the hallways to their respective rooms.
Once they were gone, Lyney let out a sigh of relaxation before walking over the the closer in the hall, opening it and grabbing the two hidden baskets in the corner. The baskets were for his siblings from him, each filled with little candies and things he had found throughout the last month that he thought would interest them.
Freminets had been filled with marine biology related things, like stickers, a science book, a stuffed shark and a penguin, a shark keychain and some socks that looked like fish were eating your legs when you put them on.
Lynette's basket consisted of a few makeup products she'd brought up a few times, as well as a book called Howls Moving Castle, a cat plush, ear muffs that would work for her cat ears, and a small coupon for one of the bakeries she liked.
Overall, Lyney thought he did pretty damn good on their surprises this year, and he hoped his siblings like what he got them as much as he did.
He set the baskets on the coffee table before going to the kitchen and preheating the oven, taking the easy-bake cookies out of the freezer and putting them on the oven sheet. Once it was ready he put them in the oven for a few minutes before hurrying to his room to change.
It didn't take him long to change and take his stage makeup off, and soon enough he was walking out to the living room, where Lynette and Freminet stood, smiling guiltily as his younger brother hid something behind his back.
"Oh? What's this? Secret meeting without me" He chuckled as his siblings walked over and wrapped him in a hug.
"Happy Valentines Day, thank you Lyney" They said in unison, making Lyney grin as he squeezed them back.
"Happy Valentines Day guys" He repeated as he kissed them each on the forehead "You guys wanna go see what I got you while I take the cookies out"
"Wait, before you do that" Lynette started as she and Freminet pulled away. She gave the younger boy a small nudge on the shoulder and he handed Lyney a small box, wrapped in red paper with a white bow. "We wanted to do something for you too, since we had a feeling you'd be doing something like this for us"
The older boy smiled like an idiot as he took the gift from his brother.
"You guys... thank you, that's so nice of you"
"Go ahead and opened it! I wanna know what you think!" Freminet said, his excited gaze flicking between the older boy and the box in his hands.
"Alright" Lyney giggled as he took the ribbon off the box and tore the paper, his siblings watched excitedly. There was a small box, which he opened, his face lighting up as he saw what was inside. Three bracelets, each with two charms of cats and one of a penguin.
"We weren't too sure what to get you" Lynette started and Lyney grinned at her "We hope you like it anyways"
"Are you kidding?! This is fantastic! I love it!" He beamed taking out the three bracelets, giving one to each of his siblings before putting his own on his wrist before wrapping them in another tight hug. "Thank you... I love it so much, you guys are amazing"
"You're welcome" Freminet hummed, hugging him back and burying his face against Lyney's shoulder, Lynette doing the same.
"I'm glad you like it, I was a little worried you wouldn't" She muttered and her twin shook his head.
"No, it's fantastic, thank you" He beamed, giving each of them another kiss on the side of their heads.
They would all stay like that for a while before Lyney would release the hug and tell them to go check out what he got them. It was a very successful Valentines Day, Freminet was more than intrigued with his book and Lynette seemed really happy to have ear muffs that would fit her correctly and that wouldn't mess with her implants.
For the rest of the evening they sat on the couch, watching films and snacking on the candies they had gotten. Lyney was excited to do it all again next year.
