Accelerator pov:

The next 2 weeks were normal other then I didn't hear from qliphah at all. But I could tell she was fine just cought up in an investigation or something. I dont know why but I was actually trying to improve with the sword. I guess I wanted to impress paul. He said that I was apparently already intermediate in water god and beginner in the other two. But to advance from intermediate it seems I need what's called a battle aura which I dont have. But I might be able to use vector control to negate the need for that.

Roxy also came to talk to me more intrigued by all the applications of my powers. Sometimes I would be a live fire demention for Rudeus and Roxy which on occasion Paul or even Zenith would tag along for.

There was a big tournament in the village that all the people who were trying to prove themselves took part in. It was mainly a sword contest but there were no rules against my ability and so I was allowed to enter. Paul was the one who decided the brackets and coincidentally we were placed on the exact opposite ends so it would likely come down to a dual between us. The competition was easy. If I wasn't so physically weak I could have beaten every one there with my sword skills. Maybe next year I will try that as my physical strength was actually growing exponentially. Now even tho this body is still that of a 9 year old its physically stronger then my old body at any point in my old life. The final match was indeed between me and Paul.

It was a short enough fight as paul used his strongest sword god attack right out the gate but his wooden sword shattered on contact with my barrier. I then cought him by the collar and in an arc swung him over my head and into the ground behind me knocking him out instantly. This happened so fast no one in the audience noticed anything had happened before Paul was already unconscious.

If it wasnt for my shield that attack would have killed me. It didn't matter what the sword was made of with the speed and power behind that strike every bone of my body would have snapped like a twig.

As we went home together he seemed disheartened. Well who could blame him considering he lost to what was basically a 9 year old who he considered to be basically a son to him.

I try to lift his mood with a joke,
"Hay were you trying to kill me or something."

"Hu what do you mean"
He replied in confusion.

"That attack could have killed me or anyone else in the tournament"
I say slightly exasperated.

"Ha don't worry I wouldn't use it on people who wouldn't survive. I knew you'd block it with ease. What I didn't know was how fast you could move from defence to offense"
He said slowly getting more depressed.

"Ha I can do both at the same time. I can do multiple attacks and multiple defends at the same time"
I said starting to gloat.

"Well I will just have to come up with another strategy for next year then"
Regaining his confidence.

"Try it I will always win"
I say as a smile splits my face.

We continued to talk and joke all the way home where we were both congratulated by the hole family and Roxy used some healing magic on paul who if he was a normal person would probably be left with a broken hip or shoulder. And Zenith heald his pride which I had thurowly shattered.

At this stage Zenith trusted me enough to allow me to go wherever I wanted and so I would go to the forest in my free time. I was fulfilling every childs dream of having there very own secret tree house. I had a sine up saying accelerator's tree house so that its sudden appearance wouldn't confuse any of the villagers or my dad when they come across it while hunting monsters it was small and shabby but for something I built myself in secret it was pretty good.
