Some more time passed with me becoming a D rank adventurer and Rudy mastering advanced tier magic and combined magic both without incantations. Paul was also training us in the sword which he had stepped up for me I was now advanced in water style, intermediate in north god and sword god. I still wasnt as good as Paul in water god but I was nearly advanced rank in north God which ment I was far more skilled then most swords men would ever be.
*ya I'm going to give him tuki after all I thought I wouldn't  but considering his race he definitely should have it, that might give a hint to the mushoku tensei LN readers*

The village festival took place and I retained my title beating Paul again tho this time he tried to hit me from behind which failed miserably, but at least he tried to change it up.

It was nearly Rudy's birthday and for some reason I felt compelled to get him something, but I didn't know what he would actually like, maybe something from my world. agh wtf, I'll find something.

Actually I think I know what to get him, he's always complaining about how he cant get it.

"Hay mam, dad I'm going to Roa, I might not be back for a few days, give me 4 befor chasing ok"
I said while running out the front door

"Wha-"
Zenith said after a second of confusion.

"Ok see you"
Zenith was about to try stop me but da-Paul cut in and let me go tho I was already out side and off the ground before he finished.

While yes I first intended to head to Roa that was only for some information gathering and collecting funds before going on to wherever my target was.

It took 5 hours to gather all the information that I wanted and I spent the rest of the day doing quests the earn as much money as possible. Which earnd me a full 2 silver wich should be plenty. I was also offered the opportunity to rank up to a C rank adventurer but I was conflicted since it would cut me off of the E rank quests which while paying very little had many quests while advancing to C would mean I would swich them for B rank quest which are very rare to come by. Well it's not like I take the most quests anyway it's taken more then half a year to get this far and I haven't failed a single quest, and have mostly been doing quests above my rank.  So I chose to rank up to C. That also ment that for where i was going, if i didn't have enough money i could take a high paying monster extermination quest to get whatever I needed.

So after spending the night in Roa I flew off to find the gift for Rudeus.

It had's been almost 2 years since I came to the Greyrat household. I have been teaching their youngest son magic, reading, history and was supposed to teach math but he already knew it so I couldn't. He surprised me a lot with how fast he learnt everything and how well he could memories things, but what was more impressive then that was his incantationless casting, it almost made me feel inadequate. I know I am a great magician, its obvious but this boy who is so much younger then me is just so much more talented. And now as he is approaching his fifth birthday I have almost nothing left to teach him. I had already made his birthday present and intend to hold his final test the day after.

But in truth he wasnt even the greatest member of his own family, his adopted older brother who seemed to be a demon just like me but to which tribe I did not know, was a blessed child, he seemed nigh invisible, capable of anything, he was incredibly intelligent like Rudeus but also willing to learn as he sat in on my history lessons for Rudy and any other lessons on the world in general.
