~Valeria's pov~
The blaring sound of the train horn startled me awake, disorienting me for a moment as I struggled to recall my surroundings.
I looked around and realized I was alone in a train coach. The empty seats echoed in silence as the train rattled along the tracks.
It was an eerie feeling, being the only passenger in this vast metal carriage.
I looked out the window mentally panicking as I saw nothing but darkness and the occasional flicker of a passing streetlight.
The rhythmic click-clack of the train wheels on the tracks reverberated through the carriage, intensifying my mounting unease.
I reached for my phone, hoping to call for help , but my heart sank as I realized it wasn't on me.
I frantically looked down at myself only to realize I was still in Rosalinda de la Cruz's clothes, with no phone or identification on me.
A sudden realization struck me, sending a wave of panic coursing through my veins.
My own husband tried to kill me, and now I was stranded in a train cart, alone. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart and gather my thoughts.
I needed to come up with a plan, a way to escape this nightmare and find safety.
But first, I needed to figure out where I was and how I could get help. The train continued to rattle along the tracks, the only sound in the darkness.
Did he kidnap me? I shivered as the train's cold metal walls seemed to close in around me. My mind raced with questions and fear, but I knew I had to stay focused.
I searched my surroundings for any clues as to where I might be, but all I could see was darkness outside the window. I had to stay calm and think clearly—my life depended on it.
I stood up unsteadily, my heart pounding, as I made my way to the door of the train car. The handle was locked, but I knew I had to find a way out.
As I searched for a way to escape, a sudden jolt rocked the train, and I stumbled backwards, falling to the floor on my wrist .
A sharp pain shot through my arm, causing me to wince in agony.
I looked at my wrist only to see stitches?!
Confusion washed over me as I tried to make sense of the situation. How did I end up with stitches on my wrist? And why was I locked inside this train car?
Panic started to creep in, but I forced myself to take deep breaths and focus on finding a way out. I quickly scanned the small space for any possible exits, my heart pounding in my chest.
I got up again, looking around for anything that could help me escape. The realization that I was trapped hit me like a ton of bricks, but I knew I had to stay calm in order to figure out a plan.
As I searched desperately for a way out, I noticed a small latch near the ceiling of the moving train car.
Without hesitation, I pushed a nearby crate underneath it and climbed up to reach the latch.
With a shaky hand, I managed to unlatch the door and slowly pushed it open, feeling a rush of relief as I saw the faint glimmer of light coming from outside.
Taking a deep breath, I mustered up all the courage I had left and hoisted myself up through the opening, feeling the cool night air on my skin.
As I struggled to break free, halfway out, a force yanked me back into the train car, a startled cry escaping my lips as I tumbled into the arms of my captor.
