~Unknown's pov~
"P-Please spare me, sir!" The man cried as he begged at my feet . I looked down at him with disdain, feeling a surge of power rush through me.
"I am not one to show mercy," I said coldly.
"I'm sorry, sir. I'll do better-"
"No need. Your apologies mean nothing to me," I interrupted, my voice dripping with malice. I raised my hand, ready to strike the man down where he kneeled.
"It's time you learned that there are consequences for betraying me."
Fear filled the man's eyes as he realized the fate that awaited him. I could see the panic in his eyes, but I felt no remorse. He had crossed me, and now he would pay the price.
With a swift motion, I brought my hand down, striking him with a force that sent him sprawling to the ground. He cried out in pain, but I felt no satisfaction in his suffering.
It was simply the consequence of his actions, a lesson that he would never forget.
Just then, out of the corner of my eyes, I saw my loyal henchman standing by the door.
"Henry! Finally, it's been weeks since I last heard from you about Valeria," I said, turning my attention away from the man on the ground. Henry nodded, a sly smile playing on his lips.
"She still doesn't remember anything ," Henry replied, his voice tinged with a hint of amusement. "And her husband doesn't remember anything either."
A smirk played on my lips, assured that my plan unfolded flawlessly.
"Good. Continue to monitor them closely," I ordered, leaning back in my throne-like chair. "Also, what happened to your face?" I asked suspiciously.
Henry winced slightly and raised a hand to gently touch his busted lip and broken nose.
"Well, Valeria got pissed off when she found out we were onto her. She's not one to go down without a fight," Henry explained, a hint of admiration in his voice. "But don't worry, I can handle her."
I raised my eyebrows in amusement, impressed by Henry's defiance.
"Mmh , right. She's our prized possession after all; her inhumane strength and sharp mind are the reasons why she's so dangerous. I want to test her, Henry. To see if she's still as good as she was before. After all, I need to check the product quality before shipping. Let's make sure Valeria is still up to par before we send her out into the field." I smirked at Henry, knowing that he understood the importance of ensuring Valeria's capabilities.
He nodded in agreement, a determined look in his eyes.
"Then what do you say we do?" He asked. I leaned back on my chair and put my leg over to the right.
"Let's run some drills, see how she handles herself in different scenarios," I suggested, a plan forming in my mind. "Henry, I want you to send out six armed men to attack her. We need to test her combat skills and how she responds under pressure. This will help us determine her true power and potential as an asset to our team."
Henry hesitated for a moment, but then nodded in agreement.
"I'll set it up right away," he said, determined to carry out the mission.
"Oh Henry... one more thing. Tell the men not to hold back. If she can't handle it, tell them to kill her." My voice was cold and calculating, with a hint of ruthlessness seeping through.
Henry looked taken aback, but he knew better than to question my orders.
"Understood," he replied before turning to make the arrangements.
