Planning (...with pizza! No Mexican, though.)

Back at Billy's headquarters, the 4 gods plus one lich sat around Billy's arrangement of leather sofas as they strategized what the best next course of action would be. The five had much to sort out; who would be traveling with whom, where they would go, which gods they should prioritize talking to and warning and trying to recruit or at least secure their neutrality in the upcoming conflict, as well as what to order for lunch. They had been on this last point for about fifteen minutes now...

"But I want Mexican!" Khonshu whined. "Dude, you're an immortal god of the literal Moon, centuries old, and you are sitting in my living room whining like a five-year-old." Artemis suppressed a snicker from the couch facing opposite the one Billy and Sobek were sitting on. "Can we please just order something already so we can talk about something that actually matters? You know, like the potential impending apocalypse?" Said Sobek, the ever-focused pragmatist that he was.

"I'm with the gator." Said Iris. "Crocodile--" "--He's a crocodile--" Said Sobek and Billy at the same time, respectively. "Haha. Wow, you guys really are always on the same page," Said Artemis with a smile and a subtle look of being ever-so-slightly impressed. "Ugh, yes, don't remind me, the two little peas in a pod." Said Khonshu with a roll of the eyes. "Yeah, well, this little pea just kicked your ass and now you're indebted to my service until such a time as I see fit to release you, so, you know, I wouldn't wanna antagonize that person if I were you."

"Ouch, got 'em." Said Sobek. "For real..." Said Iris. "Ok, fine, sor-ry. Geez. I just wanted a burrito but nooo that's too much to ask." Said Khonshu, still acting like a child. Khonshu had the sofa that made the base of the U of the sofas all to himself, because in keeping with his self-centered mindset, worldview, and approach to life, he had sat in the dead center and spread both arms out wide across the back of the couch. It also didn't hurt he always smelled of cigarettes, to varying degrees depending on the time of day and whether or not his recent bottom line of casino profits was up or down.

"What if we just sent the man-child out to get his own damn burrito and the rest of us could order the pizza we all agreed upon literally fifteen minutes ago." Said Artemis, who was getting more and more annoyed by Khonshu's behavior, and on a deeper level, the fact that another, in fact older god of the moon, could be so unlike her in so many ways. Especially the lack of respect for others and blatant disregard of rules when it came to literally any game he played. Artemis would never cheat; she couldn't see the joy in an unearned victory. Billy was the same way.

"I'm with Artemis, to be honest. This is dumb." Said Iris to Billy. "Hey, don't look at me, it's the man-child over there needs convincing." "UGHHH! FIIINEE. I'll eat the stupid pizza!" Said Khonshu, sitting forward and melodramatically throwing his arms up in the air as he did. "Great, that only took about four times as long as it needed to, but hey, we got there." Said Billy in response, only half-joking and at least a little miffed at the time wasted. "Eventually. Gods willing..." Muttered Sobek, arms crossed and looking down.

Thirty minutes later, they were eating pizza and beginning the work of actually beginning to strategize and plan what would be best for their cause, particularly what the immediate next course of action should be. "Before we get too deep into other things, I think the first thing we should figure out is who's gunna travel with who." "Yeah, I'm with that. Good idea." Said Sobek, nodding. "Thirded." Said Artemis simply. "Sure, that's fine," Iris agreed.

"Guess my vote doesn't matter again," Said Khonshu, still salty about the copious lack of burritos in the room. "Well was it going to be contrary to the majority anyway?" Asked Artemis, as much a pragmatist as Billy or Sobek ever was. After a pause and a shy look the floor Khonshu muttered "No." quietly.
