Astarion × Male reader

(Songfic. Italics mean that all of the companions [except Astarion] are singing at the same time.)

"If there's a prize for rotten judgment, I guess I've already won that."

Astarion was leaned against a tree with his arms crossed, watching (Y/n) kneel to pet Scratch. He despised the feeling warming his chest.

He scoffed as he turned his face away.

"No man is worth the aggravation. That's ancient history, been there, done that."

"Who d'you think you're kiddin'?"

The pale elf jumped when he suddenly found himself surrounded by all the other companions (Y/n) had gathered up to this point.

"He's the earth and heaven to you."

Gale playfully nudged his side with a smirk. Astarion leaned away from him.

"Try to keep it hidden? Honey, we can see right through you!"

Karlach was grinning like a Cheshire cat when she draped an arm over his shoulders.

"Oh, no..."

Astarion groaned under his breath. He really wasn't in the mood for this...

"Boy, you can't conceal it. We know how you're feelin', who you're thinking of!"

"Oh, no chance! No way! I won't say it, no, no."

He tried to push past Karlach only to get blocked once again by Shadowheart.

"You swoon, you sigh. Why deny it? Uh-oh!"

The vampire rolled his eyes.

"It's too cliché; I won't say I'm in love!"

Astarion grunted as he managed to bypass Shadowheart. He just wanted to be alone! Was that too much to ask for?

"I thought my heart had learned its lesson... it feels so good when you start out."

He wrapped his arms around himself, recounting all the faces he could remember. A lot of them haunted him.

"My head is screaming, 'get a grip, boy, unless you're dying to cry your heart out!' Oh..."

"You keep denying who you are and how you're feeling. Baby, we're not buying. Hon, we saw you hit the ceiling!"

"Oh, no!"

The pale elf massaged his temples. He just had to get away from these damn weirdos!

"Face it like a grown-up. When ya gonna own up that you got, got, got it bad?"

"No chance, no way! I won't say it, no, no!"

"Give up, give in."

Astarion glared at Wyll before rushing past him, only to bump into Gale. The vampire felt his cheeks flush.

"Check the grin, you're in love."

Gale smirked as he held up a projection of Astarion and (Y/n) kissing. With a growl of frustration, he turned his back on the Wizard in hopes of finding a different escape.

"This scene won't play, I won't say I'm in love!"

"You're doing flips. Read our lips, you're in love!"

He was cornered with nowhere else to go, stuck at the very back of their camp and surrounded by idiots. Great.

"You're way off base, I won't say it!"

Astarion tried to ignore their stupid smirks.

"Get off my case, I won't say it!"

Then there was a gentle hand on his shoulder, jolting him out of his defensive thoughts.

"Boy, go be proud. It's ok, you're in love."

Halsin smiled as he handed Astarion a flower. The Druid ruffled the vampire's hair before sauntering off, taking the others with him.

Astarion glanced at the flower in his hand.

"Oh... at least, out loud..."

He twirled the stem, gaze lifting ever so slightly to find (Y/n) still blissfully unaware of his surroundings as the (race) played fetch with Scratch.

"I won't say I'm in..."

The pale elf sighed, leaning his back onto a tree.

"Love."
