Astarion × Moon God reader

(This is based on "Lullaby for a Prince" which is a male version of "Lullaby for a Princess." In other words: this will have some of the same plot points as the backstory of MLP, only (Y/n) and his brother are minor Gods rather than simple royalty.

[They both refer to themselves as princes, and they only raise & lower the sun/moon respectively].

Incidentally, I guess that technically makes them Selûne's sons. I don't give a shit.

The context for this story is as follows:

(Y/n) was sealed away when Baulder's Gate had just started construction. Each time he is brought back from his prison, he appears at the same spot he had first been banished from. That spot is now a temple dedicated to Selûne a few miles away from Baulder's Gate. If anyone removes the moonstone from the ritual pedestal during the anniversary of his imprisonment, the spell will break and he will be freed.

The dead three are still at eachother's throats and will not work together whatsoever, so the events of Bg3 haven't happened and likely never will.

Wyll is a Wizard or Sorcerer rather than a Warlock [preventing him from getting banished while still defeating those cultists] and is part of the Flaming Fists.

Cazador never made a deal with Mephistopheles and the only spawn he had are Astarion + his "siblings", the stolen Gur children, Sebastian, and 10 unnamed spawn [20 in total].

Wyll hears about the Gur looking for their children and offers to help when they tell him that a vampire is to blame. Together Wyll, the Flaming Fists, and the Gur kill Cazador + 15 spawn he had commanded to fight for him [bringing the number down to 5].

Astarion and the surviving spawn [other than the Gur children who return to their people] escape. With his newfound freedom, Astarion decides to travel the world with the intent to sow chaos and collect riches.

Just as he was leaving Baulder's Gate, he heard rumors of a nearby temple that housed one of the largest magical moonstones in Faerûn. Clerics of Selûne mentioned there would be a sacred event at this temple once the moon was full, one that required immense concentration from everyone involved.

Astarion decided that this would be the perfect heist to kickstart his career as a real rogue adventurer).

"On this anniversary of your imprisonment, you have been summoned yet again to make a choice. Revoke your vow of war or spend another thousand years within the moon."

(Y/n) spat at his brother's feet, glaring as the wad of saliva merely hit the protective dome surrounding him.

"My answer will never change, Sorin. The sun is a blight... I will bring forth nighttime eternal."

Sorin crossed his arms, silver eyes almost pained.

"It doesn't have to be like this, you know. Do you really think mother wants to keep you locked away? Please, (Y/n)... I want you to come home."

The hatred in (Y/n)'s eyes was scorching. With a heavy sigh, Sorin prepared to send his brother back.

He was stopped by a sound akin to glass shattering.

(Y/n)'s binding fell away, crumbling around him into sparkling shards of moon magic as the dome trapping him cracked. The sun God whipped around to the ritual pedestal behind him.

Their mother's moonstone, the source of (Y/n)'s imprisonment, had... vanished.

"Wh-what in the?!"
