candice pulled out an umbrella from beside her as she packed her things up to leave. as she stood up and began to head back towards the school entrance, she couldn't help but notice a large deep purple book resting against asher's previous seat. she picked the familiar looking book up in her rain soaked hands; 'A Fascinating World Of Chemistry — The Guide To Stoichiometry.'

8:25 AM — upon entering the main hall of campus, candice felt a heel slide beneath hers, sending her face first onto the tiles of the floor. a loud malicious laugh echoed through the halls as candice glared up at her bully, louise briar. a beauty mark on the right sat beside her matte, grinning lips. her hair was a rich, dusty rose colour styled into two spacebuns, two thin braids accessorised with colourful beads along each twist, attuning well with her warm brown skin tone. candice was seemingly louises preferable target to torment, travelling all the way back to the days of high school. 'watch it, coward.' louise snickered, clutching her handbag from chanel, aggressively. 'you poor people disgust me!' she continued to ridicule candice as her words extended with vocal fry. louises minions laughed beside her as candice stumbled her way back up off of the floor in humiliation: "please, leave me alone, louise. do you really not have any better things to do?" her voice was entwined in exhaustion at the relentless bullying from the wealthy, conceited student. silence laced the room until a burst of laughter erupted from louise, she merely scoffed before strutting off to the main entrance. candice broke out a heavy sigh before checking the time on her phone. she took the fact that in the following day, the college would host a large charity event into consideration and decided to clear her head until then for preparation. she threw on a long light caramel coat and arrived at the same local coffee shop. candice smiled to see the sky had cleared up well throughout the night while she began to start unbuttoning her jacket. candice placed a hand up to her forehead to provide shade as the sun shone luminously in her eyes. she approached a seemingly peaceful table in the near front closest to the interior of the cafe, setting her heavy bag onto the table. she lowered her gaze to the stripy patterned grass to find a pair of expensive looking polished shoes, giving her only a vague vision of who was sitting. "i'm sorry, is this table occupied?" she asked, her voice was comforting and sweet. "not at all." a deep and velvety voice answered as she heard the person scoot over to the side of the bench. she could've sworn she has heard that exact voice before, but put it aside due to its regularity. candice thanked the mystery man before reaching into her purse to grab a pair of sunglasses - once she had put them on, she removed her hand from her face to get a better look at the kind, strangely familiar sounding stranger. and once she did, candice fell into a daze. the alpha sitting before her eyes, glaring at her intently with his midnight blue orbs. candice scowled before taking the opposite seat rather than the empty space next to asher. "what are you doing here, macaron?" he said. candice opened up her bullet journal before replying quietly; "i came here to clear my head."

"from?" asher removed his golden rimmed shades and placed them on his head. 'what?' "what are you clearing your head from?" candice looked puzzled. she didn't know whether to tell him or not. was he.. worried about her? she hesitated, but decided to tell him anyways. "must you really know?. i'm being constantly mocked and tormented by this one student. she really knows how to irritate me and embarrass me for apparently no reason. that's all.." as she spoke, candice noticed asher's expression softening before he nodded subtly. "i only came here to write in my journal and get some fresh air. what are you doing here?" her tone was a more friendly approach as she felt herself very slowly warming up to him. "no reason, i've taken a strong liking to this place!" asher smirked. candice felt taken aback by his response, there was no way she'd believe him; "really? you like a cutesy coffee cafe..?" she giggled. "that's not something i'd expect from a hot alpha.. why are you really here?"

'you think i'm hot?'
