Candice made her way over to the library on campus to grab a certain book about chemistry, but found it to be, well.. exceeding what her height could reach. She stood on her tip-toes and stretched out her hand to the upper bookshelf, straining to get the book as soon as possible. "come on.. come on..!" Just then, a larger hand above hers reached for the exact book she was after. 'thank you very much.' A deep voice from beside her spoke, his tone dripping with sarcasm. Asher. 'Looking for this?' Candice couldn't help but blush as he towered over her, his smirk boring into her. It was only then when she realised how tall he truly was compared to her. "yes! I am looking for this.' She attempted to snatch the book out from his hand, but struggled to fight his strong grip. Those muscles certainly did not go to waste. "could you please give that back? i really don't have time for this." she said in a hushed voice, though received a taunting laugh from the alpha in response. he found interest in her exasperation as he held the book up high above her. candice felt vexed at his constant arrogance. suddenly, a sensation of confidence claiming candice drove her to a finish line with the quarrel; 'actually, you can keep the book.' her voice and manner appeared light and soft, but also simultaneously stern. Asher glared at her, skeptical of her choice. it took him a while to form an effective response to her courage. 'huh, really now?' he grinned. 'yes.. i'm heading to the coffee shop tomorrow morning at 7 to study. therefore, the book's all yours.' asher raised his eyebrows slightly at candices bold decision of giving up her endeavouring, though he simply couldn't help but feel fascinated. asher gave a small nod, accompanied by a soft chuckle as she trailed off into her dorm.
