7:45 — asher scoffed. "are you.. talking back to me?" he slightly furrowed his eyebrows as he slid candices sketchbook to the side. 'hey-!'
"here is your extra creamy latte, and a dark cold brew for the best." the barista placed their drinks onto the aesthetically pleasing table before she walked off into the shop kitchen. candice thanked the employee before examining the heart and stem latte art carefully. she took her phone out from her bag and snapped a picture of the coffee, zooming in closely on every small detail to use as an art reference. "i really don't know what you want from me. i'm trying to study and it's much more difficult now that i don't have that exact book from the library." candice slid her sketchbook back and took another sip of the latte. "it isn't my fault you're short. though, that does just make you even cuter." candice blushed, but shortly rolled her eyes. his corny lines made her cringe harshly. as they teased eachother back and forth, a new feeling between the 2 of them began to unlock in their hearts. she remained in silence with him opposite her until a slight drizzle began to fall from the now cloud hugged sky. over the time of their silence, candice found asher handing her a couple glances at a time. her heart raced at every quick look, but hid her face behind her studybook. as the rain became more intense, asher stared at his expensive, pearlescent faced watch before grabbing ahold of his bag. he stood up from the chair before starting; 'ill see you later, relax.' as his figure faded into the fog, candice scoffed: she couldn't believe how self obsessed he was.. thinking she needed him, thinking she wanted him.. she would never feel such a way.or would she?
