V4: Slaughter Camp

Free time with the Cowgirl

Lill's POV:
After talking with Grett, I decided to look for someone to talk to who wasn't so cold. As I was walking, I noticed Ashley sitting in tree holding an apple. I walked over and looked up.
"Having fun Ashley?"
She looked down at me and beamed. She put the apple in her mouth before standing up and jumping off the branch, landing gracefully as she did. I smiled at that, thinking it was nice to see someone so happy in this horrible place. She took the apple out of he mouth and started a conversation.
"Last night was crazy wasn't it? Fiore lying was absolutely insane! Probably the craziest part of last night!"
I realized she was pretending to be all right so the fact that Nick and Will are dead seems fake. I did agree though.
"I must say, Fiore lying to us about her ultimate was not something I was expecting at all."
Sh laughed before taking a bite of her apple and looking up.
"You know what, Lill, this place kinda reminds me of my family's farm"
I was surprised, but then realized that made sense with her Ultimate.
"You live on a farm Ashley? That's interesting"
She laughed before she looked sad.
"Yeah. It is. But last year, we had a horrible fire and we lost so many crops and animals. We're building it back up, but I don't think we'll ever fully recover."
I hugged my friend gently after hearing that and smiled at her.
"I'm sure you will Ashley. It may take a while, but I believe in you guys"
She smiled at that and hugged back.
"You know what, Lill? I think you're right. Everything will be just fine."
