V4: Slaughter Camp

Free time with a liar

Lill's POV:
After Nick's execution, I found it hard to sleep. It was even harder to sleep because Fiore, who would usually cuddle me, was sleeping in a different tent after an argument with Ashley. I held onto Nick's hat and cried myself to sleep. The next morning, I decided to talk to someone. I looked for Fiore to ask why she lied to us, but then realized that I should ask Grett. After all, she is the Ultimate Liar.
I found her relaxing by the lake alone. It was odd to see someone sitting by themself with how social everyone is, but I ignored it.
"Hey Grett? Could I ask you a question?"
She looked up bored and pushed he hair out if her face before answering.
"You already did."
She laughed quietly before she spoke again.
"I'm just kidding. What's up?"
I looked at Nick's hat and took a deep breath before I asked her.
"Do you know why Fiore lied about her Ultimate?"
Grett looked at me with surprise before she answered.
"There are several reasons. She might have just not wanted to be judged for it. Or she wanted to see if anyone would like her first"
I nod and sit next to her. I look over at her and notice how the sun hits her hair and makes it look like bronze. I decide to ask her about herself.
"Do you have any siblings Grett?"
As soon as I ask, she scoffs and looks away with a scowl.
"Yes. I have a brother. He's the golden child and the obvious favorite."
At this point, she seemed to be starting to close herself off, so I stood up and left to go find Fiore. I needed to talk to her about her Ultimate and her lies.
