Season 5/Chapter 8: Ana

(A/N: Sorry for the short chapter, but the next ones will be longer)

Looking across at Ava, she stares at back at both Molly and Y/n who she hadn't seen in years. Y/n she was sure had lived by his power alone but she was always curious about Molly who had just left. Y/n looks at her and she seems to be in a happy way than she had all those years ago when it was under New Frontier rule. 

Y/n: Hey, Ava. Long time no see. 

Molly: Glad to see you're still alive. 

Ava walks over to them and gives them a hug together which they give back. Molly places her hand on Ava's hand and pats her head, slightly laughing at the way her shaved head feels. It's the same style she's kept even back when the world was still alive and kicking. Kate and Javier look at them. 

Ava: Holy shit, I'm glad you're here. I honestly never thought I'd you guys again after you left. 

Y/n: We were planning to come back eventually. 

Molly: Yeah. And I would've too but I was still looking for the kids. 

Ava takes a step back by the couch and looks at her friends but notices that Clementine and AJ aren't with them. 

Ava: Where are Clem and AJ? 

Y/n: Sit down and let me tell you guys. 

He ends going over everything that had happened since they left Richmond years back. Y/n tells them about the others, the bridge, being launched off and waking up in Alexandria. Everyone is surprised he had found his mother and had a new sister, but also that he had found his Uncle in all of this. He had a couple of surviving relatives which he hadn't known for years. Y/n showed a part of the bandage where he'd been hurt by the crossbow bolt and how he was still healing in a timely manner. 

Javier: Damn, sounds like you've been through the ringer these last few weeks. 

Y/n: You're telling me. But it was worth it in the end because now I'm here with new friends.

Now looking over by Javier and Kate, Y/n notices a little brown girl with brown hair and the same skin tone as them. She has big brown eyes and freckles on her cheeks but the age of maybe two, but no older than a toddler. The toddler was just staring at Y/n while he sits by Molly but she isn't able to say anything because she's shy. 

Y/n: And who's this little lady? 

Javier: This would happen to be Ana, our daughter. She's about two and a half, but two 

Kate: Ana, say hello to our friend. Y/n. 

Ana shyly looks back at Y/n while, again, he's just by Molly. She looks at him and quickly turns away before looking at him one more time. This time she speaks and while she can't exactly speak like someone who's older, you can understand her enough to know what she is saying for the most part. 

Ana: Hi...

Y/n: Hi there, Ana. My name is Y/n. 

Ana starts to look at him more as the others watch. 

Ana: Mama, Daddy, who is he? 

Kate looks at her. 

Kate: He's a friend of ours from way back some time ago. He's magic. 

Javier: Like the stories we told you. 

Ana looks back at Y/n. 

Ana: Magic. 

She points by him then directly at him. 

Ana: Magic, do. 

Y/n holds out his hand and creates a small flame by his fingers before it spreads to his palm, creating a bigger orb which then splits into extra ones. 

Y/n: Firefly light. 

He had them then fly around her head slowly but as she reached out to grab one it disappears by the slightest touch. Ana lets out a small giggle & claps her hands, the toddler enjoying the small trick

Y/n: You like that trick, Ana? 

She nods and gets out of her parents lap, running over by Y/n, raising up her hands to indicate she wanted to be lifted up. Y/n lifts her up and sits her on his knee, doing more fire tricks as it'd make her smile. 

Kate: You're pretty good with kids, Y/n. No surprise, really. 

Y/n: Well I've got AJ, so you get pretty good at knowing what makes kids laugh. He's basically prepared me for this whole thing so when I do potentially have another it won't be so unusal. But it all takes time. 

Javier: So what's your plan now? 

Molly: We're going to find the others at the school Y/n's been talking about for the past few days. I'd like to see some of my family again considering most is gone. Clem and AJ might not by my own blood, but they're still close to my heart. I love and miss them a lot just like I did Y/n and I've been waiting to see them for awhile. 

Y/n: Admittedly, they all probably think I'm deceased by how I was pretty much thrown off the bridge by my own actions. But I guess this will be one hell of a surprise, right? I might be alive but Clem's defintely going to have a freakout more likely than not. I can't even imagine what's going to happen or how she'll feel. Not to mention Violet. 

Kate and Javi look at him. 

Y/n: My other girlfriend. And before you ask, they're both cool with it. It's essentially Throuple. My body's still aching about the bridge accident but at least I've got my health for the most part. That's all I can ask for-

Suddenly, there's a knock at the door and Javier calls out. 

Javier: Come in. 

The door opens and it's the others. 

Y/n: What's going on? 

Michonne: Just got a call by the radio. We're needed back at Alexandria. A thing has sprung up and requires our attention. 

Molly stands up. 

Molly: What's going on? 

Rosita: Urgent stuff. But you guys can head onto the school. 

What was up? This was all that could be thought by Molly and Y/n as Michonne and the others were deadset on coming with them. This wasn't a part of the plan originally but things often go arry by the end of the day. Unfortunately, Y/n and Molly are more worried about getting back to their family at the moment. Whatever it is, Michonne and the others could handle it without the help of them more than likely. 

Molly: You're leaving right now? 

Eugene: Positive. As much as we'd like to accompany you, we simply cannot with the risk that Alexandria is facing.
