Daryl couldn't take his eyes off her the entire night. He kept having to remind himself that this was real. That he had someone who cared for him just as much as he cared for them. Daryl smiled as he saw Kathryn laugh at something Merle had said. The two had switched partners. Daryl dancing with Kathryn's cousin while Merle danced with Kathryn.

"She's the luckiest person in the whole world," Linda said.

Daryl pulled away from his thoughts, looking down at Linda. "Huh?"

Linda rolled her eyes. "Daryl, the way you were just looking at her..."

Daryl cocked his head to the side. "I didn't think I was looking at her any different than I normally do..."

Hitting his shoulder, Linda let out an exasperated sigh. "Exactly, you idiot. You look at her like she's the only thing in this entire universe. Like she personally hung the stars in the sky. Ugh, that's the dream. You guys are totally my OTP."

Daryl scoffed, mostly at the fact that he knew what that meant because Kathryn was secretly a huge nerd. He had listened to her rant about her OTPs all the time. Daryl didn't mind because when Kathryn got excited about something Daryl couldn't help the swell of love that filled his chest.

"Can I cut in?" Daryl looked over, and a huge smile overtook his features as he saw Kathryn standing there.

Linda answered for Daryl. "Of course."

Kathryn took Daryl's hands in her own, pulling him a few paces away. She then wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her head in his shoulder. Daryl placed his hands on her hips and rested his cheek on her hair, Kathryn's perfume engulfing him. It was something that reminded Daryl of rain and waking up feeling warm and content.

Daryl was sure he could live in this moment forever. A grin soon crossed his features as their song came on. This was probably courtesy of Linda.

He thought he was going to melt on the spot as Kathryn started softly singing the chorus, her breaths tickling his neck. "And sometimes when we touch, the honesty's too much, and I have to close my eyes and hide. I want to hold you till I die. Till we both break down and cry. I want to hold you till the fear in me subsides."

"You know what Linda told me?" Daryl said.

Kathryn backed up slightly and raised an eyebrow at him. "Uh-oh, what?"

"She said that we were her OTP."

Kathryn laughed. "That's gotta be the best compliment I've ever heard."

Daryl resisted the urge to roll his eyes at her. He instead ducked his head down and kissed her. As he heard a whistle, that was undoubtedly Merle, he promptly flicked him off.

Rolling her eyes, Kathryn came to the realization that they were actual five year olds. Five year olds that knew too much, but five year olds nonetheless.

"Remind me never to wear heels again," Kathryn whined. "I cannot wait to take these things off."

Daryl leaned in close to her ear and growled, "I can't wait for everything to be off."

"Daryl!" Kathryn yelped, blushing madly.

He barked out a laugh. He loved that blush, and how he had figured out exactly what brought it.

Daryl fumbled with the keys to their home. Both had agreed that they weren't going to stay in a hotel. Considering that they had gotten married in town, and were saving up for a honeymoon, it hadn't seemed rational.
