"Miss Anikka, wake up, Missy." the house nanny said, waking up Anikka around ten thirty.
Lucia protested as she shifted comfortably in bed, "uhm... Please nanny let me sleep it's still early in the morning. Let a girl get some sleep, will you?"
"No miss Anikka it's around ten and your bath is running cold." the nanny told Anikka, as she opened up the curtains and the window.
Anikka sprang up of bed, grabbing the alarm clock at the side of the bed, "what do you mean it's already ten, it can't be. It's so unlike me sleeping in late." she dropped the clock and held her head with a sigh, "awwh my head, why is it paining so much." she cried out.
"Yesterday you came back so drunk that you could hardly walk, I don't even know how you managed to get home, cause you were in a terrible state." the nanny commented sitting next to Anikka on the bed. "thank God nobody saw you and I personally carried you to your room, I must admit you are heavier than you look."
Anikka stood up in surprise, "But I only took one glass, I couldn't have gotten so drunk that I can't even remember what happened."
"Am no expert but maybe your drink might have been spiced," the nanny told Lucia and wondered off to her wardrobe, "Am sure after taking a bath and my refreshing delicious breakfast you will feel much better. Should I bring you your towel?"
Anikka refused, and still more dazed and shocked, "Just my swimsuit, I wanna take a swim first."
"Sure no problem, miss Anikka." said the nanny, bringing Anikka's swimsuit.
Few minutes later...
Moving slowly and deliberately up on the terrace was Jay and his friend Joseph.
"So, where is that bike you've been bragging about?" asked Joseph excitedly.
"By the swimming pool, just around here," Jay told him.
"A swimming pool, huh? Just how the rich live." Joseph said smiling at Jay.
Just then, standing poised on the high dive board was Anikka. She was sideways onto Jay and Joseph and she didn't see them.
She wore a white swimsuit with her name on, it only concealed those parts of the body not suitable for public viewing. The rest of the boby was a golden brown and her thick black hair lay around her shoulders.
She made a picture standing up there that brought Jay and Joseph to an abrupt stop as if they had walked into a brick wall.
She raised up on her toes, swung her arms wide, then launched herself off the board.
She went down in a graceful, perfect dive and hit the water with scarcely a splash and came up, shaking her hair out of her face.
She swam for a few minutes and turned on her back with her hair floating out around her and swam slowly towards the steps leading out of the bath.
Joseph and Jay watched her until she disappeared into one of the cabins.
"Well," Joseph said and drew in a slow breath. "that's your sister?"
"Yes."
"Really? Wow! She's such a hot number."
Jay stared at Joseph, surprised, then he nodded.
"Who's her guy?" Joseph asked.
"Manuel, heard of him before?"
"No, but I don't care cause I like your sister bro. She has made my blood race, my heart thumping and aware that I had never seen a woman I wanted so badly has this one."
"Don't get any funny ideas Joseph, you are playing with fire. If ever Manuel found out what you are planning to do, he wouldn't spare you."
"Stop being so negative Jay, how on earth is he gonna find out?"
"Trust me, I know Manuel his so possessive and when he catches you, he wouldn't for one moment tolerate you for fooling around with his girlfriend."
Anikka came out of the cabin, she was now wearing a black crop top, white shorts and a pair of sandals. She carried the wet towel and walked slowly rather depressed around the pool towards Jay and Joseph.
Jay's voice sounded husky as he said: "This is Joseph. Joseph, this is Anikka my sister."
Joseph said in his slow charming voice, "Good morning, Anikka, Jay here has told me a great deal about you..."
Anikka turned abruptly before Joseph could finish speaking and walked away.
Joseph turned and watched her go. "sort of snoopy, huh?" Joseph said.
"Yeah, she could be like that at times. Come on, let me show you the bike." Jay insisted.
In the meantime...
Her cell phone was ringing as she unlocked the bedroom door. She quickly entered kicking the door shut, and reached for the phone.
A girl's voice asked, "Is this miss Anikka Williams? Mr Manuel Johnson is calling," she added.
Anikka clutched the phone.
"Mr - who?"
"Mr Manuel Johnson." There was a click on the line, then she said: "you're through, Mr Johnson. Miss Anikka is on the line."
A crisp, tense voice demanded, "Anikka?"
"yeah," she said.
"I want to talk to you, it's very important. Let's meet at the OceanRise bar right away. I'll expect you in an hour."
"Really, I mean yeah sure Manuel no problem I will find you there." she said excitedly.
"You better hurry up, don't keep me waiting." he said and hung up.
