A few minutes later, Anikka's family showed up in a great state of panic and grief. Sarah and Manuel tried their best to sympathize and comfort Jay. Anikka's mother just sat, white, motionless, and staring into space. Her grief and sorrow were genuine, Dan tried as far as was humanly possible to comfort her.
A few hours later, the door opened, and as Doctor Franklin came out, Anikka's mother rushed to him, "Doctor, please tell me how she is?" she asked. The rest moved slowly towards the doctor and Kate.
The doctor shook his head as a sign that she had not made it. "Am really sorry we couldn't save her. Her condition has shown some delicate results. we are gonna conduct some series of tests. We are going to give you the full results after a few days." said the doctor sorrowfully.
Upon hearing that, Anikka's mother swayed, and Dan leaped forward and caught her and laid her gently on the floor. She was in a frightful state, shuddering and sobbing. In the end, Doctor Franklin had to give her an injection to quieten her, and then she went off to sleep.
Manuel, Jay, and Sarah burst into a flood of tears.
The next few days were hectic and an unrelieved order. The sinister facts have quickly leaked out, and almost everyone in kabwe was talking in hushed horror of the tragedy, and its unique and sensational features had naturally become headlines news in the press. The funeral followed two days later. Quite a number of local people attended the service.
